Amidst the AI boom and all the discussions surrounding it, we had to make a video about this movie. We hope you enjoy it! We’re back!!! Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe ;) Chapters: Intro - 0:00 'Her' ...

I’m looking forward to seeing your long video about this movie🎉
Glad you liked it
Love this account. Keep it up.
Thank you so much, your support means the world❤️
Wow!👍🏻
Glad you liked it
I wonder how K's Spinner compares with Deckard's car? Im guessing you used a blue filter to avoid copyright?
So different… and you are right about the blue filter, this video is more about technical details… that’s why the blue filter is acceptable
Great vid
Thank you, your support means a lot
Cool
Glad You liked it
cool video!
Glad you liked it!
there's many coincidences between the Wallace Corp HQ and the Arrakeen Gov'nor Residence in Dune, the imponent design based on the pyramids or Mesopotamic ziggurats...
Denis Villeneuve has a thing for grandeur feeling in his films
is this script written by chat gpt lmao
No… but it helped with the grammar😀 Glad you connected with the video somehow though✌️
Hmmm, I hope I'm wrong, not trying to be mean, but this feels written by AI.
We actually tried… can help us out a lot with the speed we can produce content… but it’s not there yet(pretty soon… fingers crossed), we’re not against using anything that can help us create high quality content… if you know any good chat models please let us know 🙏
@@ArchitectureOfThings Thanks for being transparent about it. All of the models that I've tried are good enough for writing an email, but I personally don't like using them for creative work, even if they were good enough. The LLMs I've tested tend to sanitize voice and style (and soul), and it feels like it takes just as long to train the model as it would to just write it. I hope you can keep the humanity in the work. At best for edutainment content like this, I'd recommend writing the first draft by a human, and then just use an LLM for cleaning up any grammar. Best of luck!
@@NickGapp Thanks for the attention, and taking the time to help us out (What you do is exactly what keeps the youtube community awesome) we try to keep the production as flawless as we can imagine it in our heads, it gets hard sometimes... specially because we... a bunch of people are relying on the growth of this channel (both financially and professionally) when we compare it to other contents... not gonna lie... we have our doubts about what we are doing (maybe it's better to create shallow funny contents) but for now... we're still kicking
Surprised you left out the lasguns.
Did we? Was it in Dune part two?
It's all very visually appealing, but completely divorced from the books
Well… that’s why they say it’s an adaptation
Is that the Paul Atreides fortnite skin?
Yes it is👍
The console use Volumetric display tbh, not holograms !
I can see the outline of the "cube" the Harkonnen battle map projections are in.
@@TedShatner10 still volumetric
Underrated channel. Great work. I was waiting for your analysis of tech in dune!
Thank you for your support… means the world to us ❤️❤️
Do you create the 3D Models for these videos?
Except for the footage and some of the complicated models (the chapter on the stillsuits for example) we do all graphical elements including model ourselves
@@ArchitectureOfThings Amazing work! The models are so detailed, really commend you for the effort you put in these videos
Wow… thank you so much, means a lot, keeps us going ❤️
why did they introduce the wind traps, only to never bring them up again? and why don’t the Harkonnen guards and Fremen Feydakin use guns in the desert? they can’t use their shields, so there’s no reason to rely solely on blades. …and how do they dismount and dismiss the sandworms without them destroying everything around them? 🤔
Yeah… but I mean going through all that detail and squeezing it into a feature film must be really challenging… There are some territories where sand worms can’t get to (as we understand) Maybe someone with more knowledge on the books could help out here✌️
@@ArchitectureOfThings and @Sam, the sandworms get exhausted after some time and the they'll slow down so the Fremen can get off them. Distances are also measured in thumpers. One thumper is how far sandworm can go. For example, the journey to the south are 20 (or 40? I'm unsure) thumpers.
The use of "laze guns" is extremely dangerous and illegal. When it makes contact with a shield it creates an explosion similar to that of a nuke. In order for the houses to keep their jurisdiction over their planets they have to follow that law. If anyone is caught possessing a laze gun they'll be subject to the wrath of the Emperor. Though it's not surprising for the Emperor's own army to have access to these weapons because well... they're the exception. In the book the Fremen adopt these weapons as well after defeating the Sardukar in battle and taking their weapons as their own.
@@johnrivers3813 - laze guns and shields wouldn’t be an issue in the desert, as they don’t use the shields on the sand to avoid attracting worms… right? but what I was referring to is just regular ballistic/projectile weapons… Paul stole a pistol off Jamis at the end of _Part 1,_ didn’t he? why don’t they use those more?
@@theblckbird - so they have to get off when the worm gets tired and call a new worm?
I love the simplified 3D-models... did you do these all?
You have an eye for details… glad you liked it, yeah we do the models ourselves✌️
Do Westworld Tv series
Yeah... That one has great Designs too... we need to stick to the trends until our channel grows enough, But we will cover designs in great movies such as West World... We do Love Nolan obviously
Amazing video once again!
Thank you for sticking with us, your support means a lot❤️
Perfect 👌🏼
Glad you liked it
5:05 that's not the spacing guild, the pyramid/sphere belongs to the Emperor. Heightliner, the sandworm shape tube, is only object we have of the spacing guild so far.
Yeah… thanks for that… we had our doubts about this one too👍
3 mins in but man this was so well done❤
Feels awesome to read your comment… thank you… so so much❤️
Great content, man. Love your eye for aquitecture and storytelling.
Thanks man… your support means the world… you have no idea❤️
I'm an architecture student from Brazil and am currently doing an assignment on the works of Carlo Scarpa. Considering some of his work is used as sets in Dune, i was wondering if i could reference your video and work and if you have your diagrams os other files available to download anywhere that I could use to show to my colleagues with proper accreditation.
Glad you find our content useful for your project… you’re more than welcome to reference our video, we’ll be posting the architectural drawings right here on youtube pretty soon
4:25 Is Carlo Scarpa’s Brion Tomb, close to Venice. The scale is modest and the design is all about primary elements: light, water, sculpture, materials. It’s about continuity, remembrance and contemplation. And was conceived with great sensitivity, detail and love. I wonder how thoughtfully this work was chosen. Did they use it because of some commonalities in what they wanted to communicate or was it deeper, a commentary on architecture in a former empire? 😄
Sounds interesting. How did you frame Dune’s relation to Scarpa?
this is great, we need more!
Glad you liked it… we’ll do more✌️
Amazing video! Insane you guys don't get more recognition for the stunning graphics you put together. So well done!
Thank you so much for your support… we really appreciate it, keeps us going ❤️

Been waiting for this channel to do this again 🎉 thanks! And it was a very delightful perspective of her.
Thank you… feels great to be back with you guys
AMAZING WORK! suscribed

Since I watched Dune, I'm obsessed with it's interior designs and themes, i always wanted my home aesthetics to be like that but I'm not sure about my neighbours, family, friends or relatives are gonna understand or appreciate my choice. 🙍🏻
Well… at the end of the day… you’re the one who’s gonna live there, and believe me… people will come around if they see you are passionate about something
Are you a single person or a company because the quality of work doesn't indicate that you are a single person. Very nice
😅 we used to be a team but unfortunately… didn’t work out… obviously we haven’t posted much in a long time… but the hope is we’ll build another team soon
Very interesting video! Can't wait to watch the second part of the movie, probably there's going to be even more architecture and design jewels.
Glad you liked it… and indeed the second part delivered
your channel is amazing
Thank you so much for your support ❤️
The buildings of Arrakis were made of sandstone not concrete. It is intentional by its colour and texture. The drawings of the light fixtures are not even close. We made them...
Thanks for your insight on the materials… we try to be as accurate as possible but because we can’t reach the production team sometimes we get things wrong, did you really made the fixtures? We’d love to have them in our studio… is there somewhere we can get them?
