Brazilian Rainbow Boa care guide ❀ how i care for my Brazilian rainbow boa
in this video i give you all the knowledge i know about Brazilian rainbow boas to help you all out if you decide to care for one. i have always had a fascination with Brazilian rainbow boas and they were my dream snake. i have had Cora my Brazilian rainbow boa for over 3 years now and i absolutely adore her. Caring for Brazilian rainbow boas is not to hard but also not totally easy they are not recommended to beginners because there is not lots of room for mistakes but you can care for them as a beginner if you are really diligent and consistent. i will cover size, habitat, enclosure size, lighting, humidity, temperature, substrate, cleaning, enrichment, feeding/diet, drinking water, and handle ability.

baby jumping spider feeding ❀ maintenance
Переглядів 15 тис.2 роки тому
in this video i feed my baby jumping spiders and do maintenance for their enclosures. Feeding my baby jumping spiders is always a cute experience. it is very cute how curious these little jumping spiders can be. i gave these baby jumping spiders new enclosures so that they wouldn’t have to coexist with the corpse from the fruit flys they have eaten in the past that i couldn’t remove manually wi...

    So happy to find and watch this video I'm so glad I'm not the only one that has my 'feeders' in a natural enclosure like this, ethically it feels like the right thing to do, I resonated with everything u said re this topic. I do the same for my morios, wax and silk worms they all have their own bioactive enclosures and are able to grow into their next form also, the wormies get fed to the reptiles and amphibians as needed and the moths get fed to my mantis' towards their end of life but always ensure they have a good life and natural space to live before they are sacrificed as food u have a beautiful soul thank u for sharing this I hope more people move towards this ❤and away from the eggcrate and bin method

    I'm so glad you're making this video! I I found it because I am also trying to figure out how to set up a very nice vivarium for my feeders. It doesn't matter that these bugs we are caring for are just food for the reptiles we care for. I agree with you 100%! The closer we can get to nature, whether it's the food we eat, or the food we give our pets, the better it is for everyone!

    It's so nice seeing set up a pretty bioactive terrarium for these guys and not just treating them like cattle for breeding on egg crate. I agree with your take that they deserve a comfortable life and even besides that it's nice just having an additional cool looking tank in my collection

    You’re gorgeous! I love BRB’s. They’re mini-anacondas for people who can’t keep true anacondas! They are related though which makes sense. Their patterns are very similar!

    Is there an update on how this worked out? Adult BRBs are notorious for unrooting all the plants and destroying everything in their enclosure.

    Hi! My baby bold jumpers just emerged from their nest approx. 4 days ago. I have approx. 20 and put them in a 3”x3” deli cup with ventilation. When do they usually start eating? I have put fruit flies in the setup but they seem afraid of the flies. I’m concerned that they will starve. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Thank you for saying exactly what I've always been saying, the maximum tank size for any snake is as big as you can fit in your house, that's all. Ball pythons spend most of their lives in rodent burrows, yes that's true, so it needs a maximum of a 3-4 foot tank? No! It still needs hides in that 3-4 foot tank to feel secure in its hide, so the internal tank space makes absolutely no difference to it feeling safe in the tank. In the wild they can be found outside their burrows, right out in the open basking in the sun. They do not require a maximum tank size, but a minimum is very important to keep your snake comfortable. Imagine getting a cramp in your leg, and your bedroom is too small, and you can't stretch it... That would be awful.

    Your presentation is excellent! It's great to see a serious collector who knows how to care for their boa. As a breeder of Peruvian Epicrates cenchria for 30 years in Iquitos, our temperature and humidity are left to mother nature. When adding the temp (°F) and humidity together, it fluctuates between 150 to 170. At 8 am, the temp is about 80°F and rises to the mid 90s by 2 pm, then slowly declines to 80°F by 8 pm. The lowest temp is in the mid 70's around 4 to 5 am.

    My brb is about 2 months old rn, at what age will he become more hardy when it comes to humidity?

    • @richyrich6099
      @richyrich6099 10 днів тому

      It'll be at least a few years. It's not even that the humidity requirements necessarily go down, it's that as babies they dry out quicker. An adult BRB will be hardier just by virtue of being larger and not being so susceptible to dehydration. If you have a planted bioavtive PVC enclosure and you mist it regularly, you should be fine.
