Jan Bale is a 17th-century surveyor. We have two drawings and one painting to characterise him.
I am not sure why I clicked on this video, but I did
Always wanted to try out one of those naval artillery rangefinders
Yes.
A tip for quickly making a scene feel more real: add bevels with hardened to all sharp corners, they can be small bevels. That instantly gets rid of the digital feel of most of your visuals. It's most important for wood or stone.
That is very correct Matthijs, we haven't spent the time yet to improve these objects, it's a test and we focused on the virtual human workflow
must’ve been so legendary and new feeling back then
This mocap definitely must me cleaned, also feels like a mocap actor is not fat enough to do a "fat man physics", heavy moves, less agility, more roundned moves, that sort of thing. Anyway, good job, keep working)
Wow very cool
I first thought this was some old footage remastered with AI in 4K... but I don't think they had cameras in 1658 xD
That outfit actually seems comfortable as hell.
nice.
Nice! How are you capturing the performance?
For this, we used a one-camera move-AI capture and did some minor cleaning (mainly keeping the feet steadily on the ground). The character is a metahuman with historical clothing created in Marvelous Designer.
It is still work in progress, not everything is already as we would like, but we are getting there
Ah, cool. I have a MoveAI subscription too. It did a pretty good job but definitely required some cleanup work to be useable (mainly for foot contact). I think they have addressed that since I last used it.@@visualdimensionbvba3017
Geweldige doku 5*
That interior is looking really nice!
Really cool concept! Subscribed!
Prachtig !
