I just didn't see the appeal of either style. That is until I saw a Defcon Jungle knife and immediately fell in love with it!! I simply had to have one & after receiving it think it's one of the coolest knives I own 😄😅 I luv it! It's incredibly, incredibly sharp and extremely pointy. Yes I already cut myself with it as the blade is so God damn sharp that when I sliced my palm I wasn't even sure I did it! The actual cutting of my hand didn't hurt so I wasn't sure until a few seconds later I saw the blood oozing out 😂😂 Was definitely the sharpest knife in my very small collection. That is, until I got myself a Microtech Stitch. Now that knife is on a whole other level of sharpness 😄 If you even stare at it for too long it'll cut you 😜

If this had a strobe feature and a clicky magnetic tail cap, it would be the perfect EDC torch. Fell short of awesome unfortunately.

The 13 is probably the sweet spot for serious EDC, although 11 is good if you can manage with less space. The 15 is too big unless you really need the extra space. While the quality is awesome, if you're using them every day, they won't last forever, but they are good for 7 to 10 years, which is still a long time.

ATS55 would date it to 1998 or 1999. The previous version was AUS8 and before that GIN1. The ATS55 was brittle and it was replaced by VG10 in the early 00s.

I think you got a good deal. The new ones have an adjustable pivot and options for multiple clip locations , but they are about $175.00. The original that you have has a cleaner look and you can't beat an old classic. You have a great addition to your collection.

The thumb flick is much tougher on those thin holes. I have the CJRB Pyrite and am getting the Ekko. On the Pyrite I exclusively open it with my middle finger. On a Spyderco though I find the thumb to be a bit easier.

I have a Oldtimer Bowie Knife from Schrade....at First I didn't like it because the Handle of the Knife was plastic...so I took the plastic off and I got a peace of wood from my Mother Back yard Tree ...I put them on this Knife i made them a little longer then what the company had put on the Knife...and I made them to fit my Hands ...and it add some weight to the over all Knive and now it feels Great in my Hands and now I really like the Knife I put it next to my Bed because now it feels like a really good Knife...so now it's a Trusted Knife...remember I said when I first got the Knife I was thinking it was just junk...now I put new handles on its now its one of my Favorite Knives

Every body ses the price the price,but when ya git a knife and needa trainer the trainer normally cost about the same price as the original knife,so the reate exo k really cost about 80 bucks when ya think real hard bout it..... how I convinced the wife I needed mine....just helpin out other fellers like me......love yer vid.

I just ordered one of these in aluminum. I hope it writes well. I purchased a tac pen bastion and didn’t like the sharp point. Digs into the paper too much and skips.
