Bifrost Series #04: Eroded Column with Voxel Field
Переглядів 2243 місяці тому
This video shows how to create eroded forms using Bifrost's voxel field compound. We also use Maya's lattice deformer to change the original geometry before re-combining it with the eroded version to make a more interesting final object.
Bifrost Series #03: Points to Volume
Переглядів 1913 місяці тому
This video shows how to use Bifrost for Maya to convert points into a "level set volume." Level set volumes are implicit surfaces that can be remixed in interesting ways using fields. We make a cool eroded sphere to show how to work with level sets.

Rhino to Arnold Series #05: Arnold Materials + Hypershade
Переглядів 704 місяці тому
Render Rhino Geometry using the Arnold Rendering Engine in Maya. This video shows how to create and assign Arnold materials using the Hypershade material editor. We look at the useful presets available in the Arnold Standard Surface Shader. For those new to Maya, a Shader is a way of making a material. Different shaders have different properties. (For example, the Blinn shader has a reflectivit...

very cool series, thanks for the throughout explanations!
Oh, that was a helpful tutorial! Thank you, kind sir 😊
How would you recommend getting a clean mesh and UV's for an animating shape?
Excellent video, this has been very helpful, thank you.
cool channel
how to animate/movement in volume/field? tnks..
You are a cool guy and you share a lot of things with us here on UA-cam, you show us who lack knowledge, how to animate, move the volume\fields... Thank you ua-cam.com/video/8VrbBE-XnXA/v-deo.html
great video...
Great video, thank you very much. I hope you will continue to make videos on bifrost. Is it possible to animate the scattering outside the object (like insects flying away from a rock) with a motion path ? modify : ah and I wanted to know if it was possible to do scattering only in the middle of the faces like in mash?
thanks for the video... And shape water like houdini? tnxs
Very good video... The Houdini guys are years ahead in this area. I hope to see more videos with mesh in motion, with colors, based on speed, etc. Thanks
tnks men...moore videos!
I don't get the "ignore white" option, only "ignore colour".
Thank you dear. It is very useful🙏
Wow. Maya is very powerful for visualisation. I was wondering if you could create a series of videos on how to use it for rendering architectural visualisation. I'm intrigued about the outcome
Hi how can i make smoother results?
Thanks for your unique content! I hope to see some tutorials about SubD Modelling tecnhiques in Maya
YOU MAKE GREAT TUTORIALS! I JUST SUBSCRIBED! I'M IN! THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS!!
Thanks
It's a SDF, a level set, not metaballs. A SDF is based on cubes, not spheres.
Why ar emy shadows so weak? Theyre barely viosible even after i play with all the settings.
Great Video .. wanted to know the secret behind this fluid movement.....
amazing, thank you !!!!
Thank you for sharing this!
How do you do that kind of camera movement in Maya?
Thank you so much for this video it was very helpful and straight to the point!
THANK YOU YOU SAVED ME FOR KITCHEN AND BATH CLASS <3
what do I do about jagged shadows if I can't hide and there are a lot of elements that cast shadow?
Thank you so much for this. I needed this so much for 3D lattice construction for Architecture and structures. This is not only used for 3D printing. This has a large amount of applications. We need more videos like this one. Thank you so much.
cool and insane, thanks for this tutorial!! simple question mate, why your navigation so smooth? can i get that too?
Thanks for your comment! For navigation, I use the SpaceMouse by 3DConnexion.
Great Video, please more videos about solar analysis in rhino
thank you so much!
I am so glad I found this channel! Thank you sooo much for making these. I am mind blown ❤
thank you very much sir
Question: How would I export with textures? I have received a Rhino .3dm file, but the textures aren't actually files. I guess this is a nurbs object I am trying to export to maya what can I do to get it to export correctly?
This is great! I imagine Shrink-wrap will help with seams. Is there any way to match the named views from Rhino in Maya as well?
I changed print width to by layer but no change still happens. Any suggestions?
Ty a lot
Thank you very much. It is greatly helpful.
Thank you! This is indeed a very helpful video. Could you please help me with a question? So if we work in AutoCad, we are able to set up scales in the model space itself and then use the annotative scales for objects. Is that possible in rhino too? Looking forward to your response. Thank you again! :))
Individual items-like text, dimension marks, line styles and annotation arrows-can be given a model space scale. You can do this on an item-by-item basis in the Properties tab. Or, for items that have a named “Style”-like dimensions or arrow-based annotations-you can set the model space scale in the Style itself. You can then override this scale in the Properties tab if needed.

thank you so much for this video, it is the first time i google something about rhino and actually find a helpful video like this.
Great video! Questions on Layout / Viewport Scale: Is it better to have the scaling enabled or not? I'm trying to keep my file simple
Thank you very much for this videos and all the previous ones! 😀
You are welcome!
A great demonstration of just how bad Rhino's linetype controls are. Only one way to control spacing, and it's global, for all lines in all views? Who thought that was a good idea?
The movements are so fluid!
really helpful, thanks. That 'Layout print width' option had me stumped
How did you achieve such complex geometry ? It's amazing
It was really helpful. thank you.
te amoooooooooooooooooooo, i love you omg i couldn't find where to change the dashed line scaleeeeee asfhuiafhisdsf i love youuuuuu, thank ypu so much!!!!!!!
