We cannot win a trade war with the United States that's a fact, we cannot win and our scumbag leaders, Trudeau, and Mark Carney who is about to become our unelected Prime Minister of Canada know it but still want this trade war. As a Canadian Free Trade was a bad deal for us to begin with . My wife and i lost our jobs to Mexico and so did thousands of other Canadians. Its time we find other trading options other then the States. Time to build the pipelines and find other Countries to do business with. Inflation is exported around the globe so investors need to seek refuge/safety net in the U$d and equity markets to optimize their ROI. Buy USD now when the CDN has gone so low? Its like buying a stock at its all time high. The ship has sailed. You might say the CDN dollar will drop further but when you account for the exchange rate differential when you buy and then eventually sell USD, it's not much advantage. Had you done this many months ago would have been of better benefit

I guess Im one of the lucky ones who is retired with no mortgage and good retirement money saved. Working at a normal job paying taxes to the government is not the way to go in Canada. You have to work for cash under the table is the only way to survive and have the trade skills people need and will pay for.

Lower rates for government, higher for longer rates for everyone else. Rate cut cheerleaders will pay for it, that's why people need to be careful what they ask for, because they may just get it. Maybe after another wave of inflation, people might start to understand that these cuts come at their expense, not benefit like they thought it would.

House is a shelter not commodity and Government should not allow it to become an investment property for greedy investors especially single family homes 😢😢😢😢 I own a house and I still believe it’s way overpriced for young people it’s a sad reality of current society 😢😢😢😢 Home ownership has become out of reach for most of the first time home buyers and government should impose regulations that allow them to buy maximum one single family home for themselves and one for each children if they want to buy for them and they can not sell it.

What if you leveraged the 100 grand using it as security and wrote off half the interest but carried some of the deduction forward ?

As a dumb I would invest anything in anything , let the rest crash then invest , why paying 550k in interest where you can invest outside Canada ?

Steven Guilbeault, the Minister of Climate Change, said that if Mark Carney axes the carbon tax, he will withdraw his support for him. As if Steven Guilbeault makes decisions for all Canadians across the country. NOT !!!
