Hall helps community garden Nambour Grown to turn new leaf

Hall Contracting has banded together with Sunshine Coast green thumbs to save the Nambour community garden from being decommissioned, sowing the seeds to create a bustling new community hub known as Nambour Grown.
The space was weeks away from closure due to lack of use and maintenance, but a $2,000 cash injection from Hall has helped fund new tools, plants, raised garden beds and workshops.

Hall's backhoe dredge, Woomera, joined various tugboats in ceremonially marking the last bucket of material dredged as part of the Port of Townsville Channel Upgrade project in March 2024. Hall removed 3.4 million cubic metres of material from the Platypus Channel and the adjoining Sea Channel, with the works enabling trade, defence and cruise ships up to 300 metres in length to access the Port.

Hall Contracting got behind the Maroochy Neighbourhood Centre’s ‘Adopt a Family’ appeal in 2023, donating more than $5,000 worth of food hampers and gifts for Sunshine Coast families doing it tough. The donation assisted community members impacted by homelessness, domestic and family violence, poverty, and health issues.

Hall Contracting constructed a 168-metre-long, five-span pedestrian and cycle bridge at Pelican Waters on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. The bridge features a curved design, ensuring there is enough height for boats to pass beneath it safely, while also keeping the incline gentle enough to accommodate pedestrians, wheelchair users and prams.
