I still think Barba would be a healthier choice for Liv and Noah if she would just give him a chance. He always protected her in his own way. If it wasn't for what he did she would have never found Noah. Everyone forgets how he was the one who got the information to find Noah. Not to mention he was there to give advice anytime she doubted herself about Noah.. As well as any big decisions that need to beade regarding him....That's why I'm 100 percent Barson. He stepped up when Elliot stepped out. Including all threw Lewis and everything else.

SPEAKING FACTS. ugh I hate this. He was trying to protect her and Noah. If he didn’t defend her, she will lose everything. Especially Noah. I’m so mad at her right now. I rewatched the entire series to be ready for new episodes hoping her and Stabler would get together. But after seeing Barba, and especially how Stabler treated him when they met, I’m 100% team Barson now.

This actor is quite simply 'magnífico'! Fom the first moment he added something special to the series: his shark-like dealings, his rapier wit: the epitomé of how succesful lawyers behave. Not to mention his gorgeous suits, ties right down to his braces. Love him! He should have his own series. So sad to hear he' no longer in the series L&O SVU. Please let's see more of this gifted actor

Something I always wondered… Barba really was involved in Olivia‘s life when she was going thru a rough patch with William Lewis, with her involvement with Tucker and then Tucker getting cancer, good with adopting Noah. These are all things that Stabler was not around for. I don’t even know if he knows about them. So I wonder if people think if Stabler had not come back in the picture would Barba and her have gotten involved?
I’d like to think that’s where things were headed. Especially with Rafa’s few appearances after he left. And the “Stabler coming back has made things more complicated” line? Come on. Raúl and Mariska have always had such good chemistry that evolved beautifully throughout Raúl’s time on the show. I know not everyone agrees, but I think Rafa would be a much more equal and healthy partner for Liv than Stabler at this point in her life BECAUSE of all the things he was there for that Stabler wasn’t. She’s not the same person she was when Stabler left and Rafa was there for her and with her through so much growth. I’d like to believe that the writers know better than to make Bensler endgame. It feels like it would be a huge step backward for Liv. I understand she needs to take Lindstrom’s advice and see whether there’s more there or not, but I think keeping them together would be a great disservice to Liv as a character. She deserves happiness. She deserves to not have this idealized relationship with Stabler hanging over her, paralyzing her. I’ll get off my soapbox now, I just have a lot of strong opinions about this
@@SarinaSageheart I think there’s been a shift in Olivia. she’s been hurt a lot and gone through a lot of trauma since Stabler left over a decade ago. The fact that he didn’t say goodbye, considering how close they were I think that left a big scar for her. I think the fans though have always been really interested to see what could be with Stabler and Benson. I also I’m not sure what Raul is doing right now. I know he does a lot of stage work on Broadway. So I’m not sure his plan is to come back to the show on a regular basis which would make sense if him and Olivia were going to have a relationship or work on one. I think both Barba with taking on Richard Wheatley’s case, Elliot with just leaving and not telling Olivia. I think she feels like those are both betrayals. So I’m not sure if she’ll ever fully trust either one of those men. But I think the writers must have some plan, since they did show Olivia and Elliot almost kiss. It seems like they both want to try.
@@SarinaSageheart Yeah as sad as I was when Stabler first left, I actually enjoyed the show more and felt Olivia stepped out of his shadow and came into her own. Not caught up yet but I know he comes back due to commercials.
Im quite sure the producers are in for Bensler as end game but they better not leave Barson in this state and bring back a wholesome friendship between the two. I get that Stabler is classic because he was part of the original cast but this character is sooo toxic with his unfixed anger issues and all
I think one of the saddest parts was one of the last scenes with Barba and Olivia after he handled Richard Wheatley‘s case. Him telling Olivia that she’ll forgive Elliot for so much but she won’t forgive Barba. So true!
One of my favorite clips and scenes was when Barbar and Olivia sitting in her office and he says, where do you think you’ll be when you’re 80 years old, and she’s like squabbling with you.. was the cutest thing
