Genevieve Navar Franklin - Listen to My Heart

Captivated throughout her life by the effect of words on the human spirit, Genevieve N. Franklin discovered the joy of personal storytelling on her first visit to The Moth at Freight & Salvage in July of 2017, where she was astounded to hear her name “pulled out of the hat” first.
That first Moth moment revealed a calling to create simple but richly meaningful narratives meant to tickle the soul and touch the heart of listeners. To do so, Genevieve draws on her experiences as an immigrant, childhood cancer survivor, interpreter, mediator, teacher and spiritual care provider, but especially on the short but beautiful years she shared with her sight-impaired, chronically ill yet magnificently loving partner, Donn.
