God's Car Showroom On Watling Street Road
On July 29th this year I found a way into Sharoe Green Garage which used to be a car salesroom and repair shop on Watling Street Road in Fulwood. Join me as I discover Marvin the Paranoid Android from Hitchhikers, a Faraday cage, God's number plate, a climbable ladder, another safe... and as usual, a broken toilet! Have a great weekend. On Saturday 21-9-2024 I recorded highlights of the Lancashire Encounter Torchlight Procession which lasted about 2 hours. An old vacuum cleaner, a bucket, Elvis Presley, some people wearing silly clothes, an FPV drone and multiple rocket launches feature in my latest epic production. Apologies for the less than adequate ending, the battery was about to run out and I also lost the kitchen sponge...

In late July 2024 I came across an old abandoned farm during a bicycle ride. In part one I explore the outside of the farm, discover an old toilet and present my idea for a new movie whilst giving a guided tour of the stables and pig pens. I've been aware of this place for some time and finally in July 2024 I decided to go in. Unfortunately I can't say where this is for various reasons and therefore couldn't record my entry and exit. Whilst there I found a grenade launcher which could be an M203 or Russian equivalent GP-25 perhaps. I also found a drone jamming device. Quite a rewarding adventure!

Today I cycled into Preston to capture some footage of the imminent protest. The whole event was a storm in a teacup really, kind of reminiscent of the BLM riot lite in Preston during the 2020 lockdown. In June this year I came across an area of Preston undergoing a renaissance with new bars, a food hall, an events space and even a hidden garden. I thought it would make for an ok outdoor mini urbex. Recently it was removed for the next stage of the building progress so I guess it's a good time to release this film. On 14th April 2024 whilst in town I noticed a shutter to a car park that isn't usually open. On entering I discovered an impossible door which has no other side! Venturing further afield I came across an unusual room with a bricked up lift. Perhaps these were once portals to backrooms which the military have long secured? Right now your guess is as good as mine.

On the 21st of March 2024 I discovered by chance a way into Signarama. This used to be a sign printing shop on Ringway and has been closed for a few years now. Unusual synthesizers, novelty toilets and the discovery of an underground chasm which may have at one time housed something sinister feature in my latest urbex. On the 19th of March this year I discovered the entrance to Shereton House was left unlocked. Join me as I explore this mini labyrinth in central Preston and eventually realise what the building was. Liminal spaces, a myriad of rooms, multiple toilets and a potential meeting with God feature in this epic adventure. More urbexes coming soon. :)

On 20th of March 2024 I noticed the Birley Art Studios on Birley Street in the town centre was hosting an art exhibition. The work consisted of paintings, mixed media and audio / video installations made by art students from the university. I thought this would make an ideal short silent movie. Permission was asked for and granted before filming.

I don't recall it looking that messy upstairs, looks like someones been busy in there..its no wonder its been secured, well nearly! Did that noise you heard come from inside the house? I got some kind of bang which came from downstairs..
The noise definitely came from inside. As far as I remember it sounded like something being moved and scraping the floor or wall, it wasn't very loud and was a short sound, also the red coloured art was ominous. Something spooky going on in there for sure!

Maybe that prefabricated building was a sort of tardis, you never know. Aliens coming through from another dimension and the tin-opener cut was an abductee's desperate escape attempt. The scenario with the sofa reminded me of when I used to make dens as a sprog, on the wasteland across the road from where I lived.

My videos are filmed almost entirely in a town called Preston, it's about 30 miles or so north of Manchester. There are good standards of language and culture here although varying over the spectrum. I guess the same question could be asked of many countries. Saying that, the UK most certainly has problems. Many areas are in decline and a few are on the up simply put. I suppose I could also answer the questions by saying a certain 'Bruce Hornsby and the Range' song springs to mind.🎹

I thought this was highly creative but not really funny. I didn't laugh or even smile, but then again, I have no idea what it takes to be a successful comedy duo with your own TV series. I'm just a simple Jo-public, Johnny-normal type who wasnt born with a funny face like Jim Moir and nobody really cares anyway as the world is full of scary savage dogs these days.
I guess you have to be in a particular mood, maybe a certain state of mind to appreciate it. When Vic and Bob were in their prime back in the day, and I was much younger, I was in stitches, crying with laughter watching their antics. I still snigger a little at this clip when I sometimes watch it but not as much these days. Sense of humour tends to evolve.

I remember "Murphy's Mob" about some kids following a football club or something. It was Gary Holton who sang the theme song, he played Wayne in "Auf Wiedersehen, Pet". It's on my More classic tv themes playlist! Wonder why they decided to trash that youth club? Was there not enough youth or did the youth in Preston not want to play out? Sign of the times.
Yes a football club, that was it. Perhaps the youth club ran out of funding or was underused. In any case it became abandoned and partly demolished. I'm going to have another look at the area again soon.
