I finally figured out what it was, you skipped a step. You need to give ownership to both the Domain Admin and the Domain User, if you don't give ownership to both of these groups. Roaming Profiles will not work in a domain environment.

So I have followed this to a "T" on my windows server 2008 r2 and my local machines are giving me errors after I have rebooted the local machines. I get the error of "You have been logged on with a temporary profile". Can you tell me why I am getting this error? Thanks.

So I just wanted to let you know that this video is great because you take your time to show how to setup roaming profiles the correct way. All of the "quick-answer" videos that get many views and have theirs on the top of the playlist have been incorrect!!! After following your directions step by step I finally got it working properly. It was me not entering the fully qualified DNS name of the server. The client machine couldn't find the profile on the server after it made it. For example in ADUC if I only enter in //servername/users$/<username> I would get an error message after rebooting the client PC and attempting to login. But if I entered //servername.contoso.com/users$/<username>, the client would find the profile on the server just fine. Anyways thanks for posting this CORRECT video, you helped a frustrated future Sys Admin.
