    Thanks Arkadiy. Nice to see how the Turnado works for projects like this. Also a nice reminder that a collet is best to hold the work for the Turnado as a standard chuck may not provide the clearance needed and could be dangerous to the hands for close work. Well done!

    I thank you so much publishing these Turnado demonstrations. I find them very inspiring and educational. If I make an unsolicited suggestion - I think when you set up the fence you should start with a pin at the open slot end in any convenient location, and then align the fence square to the table at the clamp end. That way both ends of the fence are ‘fixed’ and fence will be less likely to push away from the cutting forces at the unrestrained end you show. What do you think?

    Hey Arkady, great content! I watched almost all your Tornado video. I bought one last month and I've been trying to use it on my MyFord ML7. I am cutting aluminum, just trying out any shapes to get used to the feeling. However, it feels like the tool is not cutting much, compare to your videos. I'm using aluminum and the basic provided tool from eccentric engineering. Do you have any advices for me? Thank you for your great content.

    • @arkadiychernikov
      @arkadiychernikov Рік тому

      Hello, Check your cutting tool is set as close to the spindle centre as possible. Make sure that after facing the stock you do not have any pimple left in the centre of the faced stock. Make sure that your cutting tool is absolutely sharp. Alumin(i)um alloys can be pretty sticky and easily weld-up on the cutting edge. To avoid welding-up use WD40 or any oil. With turnado you can cut stainless, cast iron, annealed tool steel, copper (with oil), aluminum (with oil), bronze, brass. The best for building up initial experience as I found is brass. It does not require any lubricant. Do not forget to remove chips from the table frequently. Hope this would help.
