Thanks man.. sounds super great! Two last question, do you feel any power loss or gain? And any parts that needs to be re arranged when installing? It sounds super awesome.. I live in asia and I've been wanting to custom made my headers but im not sure of the consequences hahahaha
@@danielpramono255 no noticable power gains or losses, install was straight forward. Just be sure to get genuine Subaru gaskets that are multi layer steel, the ones provided are garbage. You will have a CEL unless you relocate the secondary 02 sensor further downstream behind the other catalytic converter or get an open source tune. The only reason I did the header is for the sound, and it wasn't until I added the muffler into the equation that it sounded how I wanted.

Same here.. because of the cvt, I've moved on from making more power. Just want to cruise with the rumble.. had my exhaust changed but without uel the sound is very typical. I'm thinking of custom making it, but am affraid of having the wrong ratio for the uel. Thanks for answering me though! Appreciate it..

I'm running the socal v4. Was it a noticeable difference with the cams? What makes you wish you had gotten the 272?
While everything was apart I should have gone big or just stuck with stock cams, I also would have done a front mount if I knew the top mount would be such a bottle neck.

I bought the Kelford 272 cams but MAP sent me 280 cams. I am in South Africa so the shipping and return procedure was to much of a hassle so I decided to install the 280 cams. I bought the Arashi Gtx3071r dual ball bearing turbo so I will see how it goes with the tune and this Nostrum fuel pump. I am aiming for 500whp. Next year I will do port injection and ets turbo kit.
Do you recommend doing cams?
I would only do cams if money were no object or if they had to be replaced anyway... Mine had to be replaced and it was only an extra $2-300 over the stock ones. I do regret not getting the 272s(stage 2) though

Im going to be honest. So i had an iag stage 3 extreme, stage 4 heads and those cams on a socal v3 with a MoTec running ID1050x and the car fell on its face on the dyno with similar numbers. Now she has a ets 6466 and an sti transmission. Becareful of the rabbit hole, once you go too big, it goes from a street car to a weekend 8mpg ethanol car real fast.... I now use a VB as my daily and the VA is my hot mess.
360 whp is plenty for this car... If I want more power, it will be in a Corvette

How much louder is the spool on the socal v4 if at all than the stock turbo?
Well, it is a stock turbo, just ported with a new 10 blade compressor wheel... So the noise is probably exactly the same as an unmodified turbo. The intake and j-pipe would be the big game changers as far as noise is concerned... The less restrictions on either, the more turbo noise.
What did the car make on pump? Do you feel a difference with the Cams?
Those numbers are pump 93 w a TMIC... Couldn't tell you about the cams, I did everything at once.
Very nice, haven't seen a single person run the socal v4, I'll be up.and running with this turbo soon.

install was removing snd reinstalling two bolts and nuts... no changes besides sound

the correct way is to get a tune... my way was an 02 simulator.... allegedly.... in a video game.... i would never defy the clean air act
get o2 sensor defoulers from bloxracing, also a fixd obd2 scanner that can remove the cel if it pops back on
The banks are constantly in motion. Things built right on or just above the surf line are subject to time and tide. Often it's only a matter of time before mother nature reclaims the space. I'm always sorry for those who loose their houses, but this is a known thing. The forces of time, water and wind can be amazing to watch.
@@Ferretts89 The lower Outer Banks has always been a perilous place to build. No government can stop the tidal movement of the sand that the whole Outer Banks is. I've gone there since the late 60's....seen many many houses and roads washed away. Those beaches have been rebuilt time and again....Finally they said no more. The only person responsible is the ones who build on sand. The taxpayers have no obligation to rescue foolish choices in known hazard areas.

100% true. Building on sand has always had its sad result. Yet people expect "the government" ..ie taxpayers far from shore, to subsidize their foolish choices.
