Be Very Cautious - Buying a second hand motorcycle or vehicle could cost you thousands
In my 2024 video, I eluded I was buying a 300cc (ish) second motorbike but it all went wrong.
Here I tell the story of which I hope is a warning for you to be as cautious as I was thankfully.
Wishing you a very happy new year in 2025 and thank you for the ongoing support and conversations.

MY 2024 - A year of growth and adventures #transalp

2024 for me has been a year of motorcycling adventures and photographic growth. Dave's Day was probably the high spot of the year for me, and many of the 46,000 who shared the ride up to Barrow in memory of Dave Myers. (Hairy Biker) Here I share my thoughts, explain why it has been a bit quiet here and my plans for 2025. Monimoto Affiliate URL: monimoto.com/ride/339/ Music credit: Isaac Joel :V...
Transalp XL750 owners 2000 mile review

Headed off to Covent Garden for a meeting via @UrbanRiderlondon to pick up a Hiplok DX1000 XL. While doing all that I review the Transalp after clocking up 2000 miles since buying it in August. 2000 miles already sheesh.... Securing my TA in London has become so much of an obsession that I considered buying a "burner" bike. The video explains everything. Monimoto Affiliate URL: monimoto.com/rid...

in my last video, I did not get to test some tarp ten styles for my future overnight camping ride-outs on the Transalp. Today the last blazing sunny day in the UK is on us, 28 degrees , before the weather starts to really turn autumn-like. Packed the 4.5m x 3m tarp and my Hasselblad and rode to Black Country Park near Pinewood Studios to test out setting it up in a Tarp tent and Pyramid configs...

Here it is. The first PhotoMoto using Calimoto's round trip feature to set a road trip route with a mileage of 50 miles kindly suggested by @bumpyroads-uk. We started at Letchmore Heath where we chatted about my camera gear in the last video and set 50 miles (ish) for the round trip to discover the area and take some photos. Over the coming months, I plan various multi-day ride-outs and plan to...

Will the Transalp save my BUTT ? Test ride of the Honda Transalp 750
Great choice mate, i have a Vespa GTS 300 as well as a Transalp. Great combo
Thank you for watching. Sounds like you and I have the same good tatse lol.
Hope you waited for the 2025 NT1100 DCT or the 2025 NC750x DCT. Upgrades on both.
HI, I mention in the video my choice and the reason why. The new upgrade looks very good and I wish you well.
As far as I know, the Transalp isn't available in DCT here in Spain and the NT is too expensive. So I went for a new 2024 model NC. I waited until after the new year and got €1200 off due to it being last year's model. Im due to pick it up late next week. I had a 2014 when I was in England, put 73000 miles on it without issues. Fabulous bikes. My only niggle is the tank being under the seat. When camping, if you strapped anything on the back seat, you needed to off load it every time you filled up.
True the TA has no DCT but I was not looking for that feature in a new bike. On trying the DCT on the NT1100 I was pleasantly suprised and if the insurance for me was not so massive here in the UK, i am on my first year of a full licence, then I would of bought it. The TA is for me better that the NC in a few key areas and again it is my expereince and no everyone elses. I am now 4000+ miles in on the TA and so far its been a great bike. I wish you well and safe journeys.
I've Learned a bit today
Wonderful and thank you for watching. Wishing you safe journeys.
Never had a new car or bike in my life. 44 bikes and 50+ cars. Never had a duff one. Know what to look at. Friends wasted 1000so on new vehicles.
Thank you for watching.
A very helpful video. I find it ironic (but unsurprising) that this company that you carefully did not mention, is the one that tries to charge a fee of almost £200 for admin that they are clearly not doing!
Very true. Thank you for watching and I wish you well.
Bought and sold (part-ex) to SBF in Oct 23. Got a good trade-in for something that wasn't being shown interest on Ebay etc and got free delivery/collection. I hear what you are saying about doing your own HPI check, I did exactly that, and have always done so on any bike I have bought - but ignoring SBF for one cock-up would appear to be a bit of a pyric victory seeing as they probably have the biggest collection of second hand bikes available out there.
Thank you for watching and sharing your experience and thoughts. I have decided to not get a second smaller bike in favour of a few days advanced training from the training school I used to pass my test. Planning a day each month for 3 months which should polish this rough diamond lol. Wishing you well and safe journeys.
Sorry to be pedantic but I think you mean “ I could have lost “
Thank you for watching
Not pedantic: best to stop the rot and point out grammatical errors when you see them.
Shocking from a dealership! Good advice I will now follow, glad I clicked and thanks for sharing!
My pleasure and thank you for watching.
Avoid SBF at all costs, either selling to or buying from. All they want to do is shift as many bikes as possible for minimal input. If you sell to them, On the day of pickup They'll lowball any offer previously made in the hope you cant be arsed to argue. Any place you can't even touch let alone test ride the bikes is to be avoided, many have hidden issues. They really couldnt care less about bikers.
Thank you for watching and for your words of wisdom.
Sold my 125 to them in good knick - and they didn’t haggle at all. In fact, they were very easy and good offer for selling side 🤷🏻♂️. But think we’ve all heard of issues with buyers, so good advice.
Great thoughts and bike🎉
Thank you for watching and I wish you well and safe journeys in 2025.
In my first year of unrestricted license I was quoted £4,600 to insure a Honda Africa Twin so I bought a new Honda Transalp and paid £420 for insurance. Loving the transalp and have no intention of changing it. Have toured in Northumberland and Scotland and it has been impeccable and a real joy to ride.
Just went out for the last "warm" ish day ride (150 miles) on mine and loved it. Now starts the big chill in the UK so double socks and heated gloves for a few weeks lol. Wishing you well and safe journeys.
Good to hear from you. HNY!
Nice to hear from you too. I hope your Christmas was all that you wished and I wish you a very happy new year & Safe Journeys.
You make it sound like "scooter" is a dirty word! After 34 bikes and only one of those a non-clutched scooter, I'll take the dirty word all day long. Living in Montreal where a one way shuttle to the office requires over 400 clutched shifts (yes, I counted!!!), you can have your clutch. Looking at an NC750x now, perfect real-world cross between "scooter" and "moto". K1300's gone to the shit-bin ;)
Australia here - 20,500 kms (about 12,500 miles) on my '23 Transalp, and still loving it. Well, liking it... The HISS system is the Honda Integrated Security System I seem to remember (I too struggle with the too-many acronyms) and is simply a recognition of your key, using (I think) radio waves. My '07 Ducati has a similar system, and it means another key which might suit the mechanical form of your key (and fit the key lock) will not start the bike, if it's not matching the radio signal. It is 'alive' if the red light flashes every now and then on your dash. I haven't really had any issues with the system on the Ducati in 104,000 kms. My reflections on the model match yours fairly closely, although mine has more dirt road use here in rural South Australia, and I am enjoying the bike's versatility in being capable at both bitumen and gravel roads. Yes, it will get some suspension upgrades, but it isn't that bad as delivered. I too had some 'trinkets' thrown in, being the first purchaser in this state - wind deflectors and 'bear grip' footrests - and both have proven worthwhile, which is easy to say when I didn't pay extra for them! But the footrests are slightly lower, wider, and far better when standing, and the deflectors do help a little with the wind. I also reversed my handlebar risers, which moved the 'bars slightly forward, which I found feels more 'natural', plus I rolled them forward a little as well, which also (with the footrests) was better when standing. But yes - a stiff frame, with 'long' steering (rake and trail) which is surprisingly good on the bitumen, and quite forgiving in the rough. As is the sublime clutch take-up, which has meant the bike has never stalled. Remarkable economy, a smooth engine (that becomes smoother as the miles go by) and a sense of ease about riding it. A good all-round bike that is easy to live with, and doesn't tempt me to speed so much. Thanks for your test - I too intend keeping this bike - a bike I enjoy more than I expected to.
Thank you for such an excellent and complete reply. I very much appreciate your explanation of the HISS, and I am sure some others will, too. Unfortunately, we here in the UK have very limited access to "dirt" use-a bit of green landing is about it-but we do have the "fun" of tackling the ever-deteriorating tarmac holes, grip lines, and general bad condition-all of which the Tranalp tackles with ease. I am adding the lower seat soon, as I find the TA needs to be a bit lower, say 1", to give me a confident feet-down feeling when I stop. It might be just me, but the fact that Honda has made a seat that reduces the height by about 3/4", shows others have an issue with it. A very comfortable and stable platform is the Transalp and like you, I am more than pleased with her. Off to work soon in the rain over here, got a storm coming in both at work and in the UK lol so wet gear on and off into the rain drops I will ride. I wish you well and safe journeys
Good video and a great bike. Your audio is spot on especially considering you use an open face helmet. Shag system do you use ? Cheers.
Hi. I use a Rode Wireless II system. The Receiver is plugged into my DJI Action 3 and the transmitter is on my boom mic in this open face helmet or during winter, now, inside my full-face helmet. Hope that helps and thank you for watching. More videos soon.
Love my Transalp too. For me, it truly is in that sweet spot for a motorcycle. My only niggle is the quality of the rear shock. It's OK but a lack of adjustment particularly rebound damping frustrates me sometimes. Can't complain too much though when you consider the price point. Will be upgrading that shock soon and no doubt it will make the bike even better.
I added two positive clicks to mine as I learned from the NC750X, this suited me. My TA is a great solid rider and im still blown away by how good it handles, even deep dive turns. Wishing you well and safe journeys.
Bought mine in August. Absolutely agree with everything you said. Love this bike.
I have now switched it to SPORT mode and its got even better. Wishing you well.
Is that the standard screen ?
No. It is the Honda touring screen. It was on the "demo" bike whenI tested it along with other items. Really keeps the wind off at speed. Wishing you well.
Enjoyable video! Great bike - always good to take a trip into town :-)
Thank you sir. Was a good ride in. Hyper security and people around you aware re push bike snatchers and other hooligans, but was a good trip in. But if I am honest, I prefer going the direct opposite way to the Chiltern’s or Cotswolds 😊
I’ve just bought a used transalp with only 1000 miles on it for a very good price of a very nice fellow whom is giving up biking due to ill health. I test road one at a dealer it had the standard screen and I found the wind noise unbearable so wasn’t sold on it . I then test road a Suzuki v strom 800de which was a well put together machine but the screen was absolutely garbage. And it was way too heavy. So I bit the bullet and bought the transalp . After today which was my first proper ride out . I can say with all honesty this is the best bike I’ve ever owned I absolutely love it . I’ve owned an Africa twin crfl1000 and the transalp is way better in every way I’m so glad I bought it. I’m also glad that I bought a used one for way less than a new one . The dealer offered me £1500 Less for my part ex than it would retail at. I would rather sell it to a person who wanted to buy it for a cheaper price than let the dealer have it for that price .
Great to hear from another satisfied TA owner. As I mentioned in the video, I doubt I will move from the TA platform. It is such a great bit of kit. I wish you well and safe journeys. Thank you for watching and commenting.
To each his own. Ride your ride. Good luck
I've recently discovered your channel. Our situations are similar as I'm a new rider (2 years since I got the license - here in Oregon USA). Looking to upgrade from my Royal Enfield Classic 350 to something like the NC 750X or the Transalp XL 750. I might wait to see if Honda decides to bring the NT1100 to the US. Your comparative videos between the 3 were very well made. Thank you! Subbed. Ride safe👍
Try the Transalp. You guys over there get a free quick shift which is fun once past the first service and you can erm.... have fun 🙂 I have added nearly 2000 miles to mine already and I can say with confidence that the TA is excellent in handling, comfortable, and great fun when you want to have some. I wish you well and safe journeys.
150 miles.
Your on 🙂
Enjoyed the trip into Soho - Do enjoy a bit of the Uxbridge Road :-) Good photos - Fiddling with Light Room was enough for me without splashing the chemicals around. Have a good week
Was a good ride out indeed. I found Soho to be extraordinary quiet for a Saturday. I have been there a few times but not in the last few years and Saturday was comparatively dead. I do enjoy the chemical splashing. It’s the added mystery of what is waiting to come forth, or not, that keeps me hooked. PS and LR are great tools, used on the E-100 roll to rescue a couple. Thank you for watching and I wish you well.
Dude, you’re too old for this kind of tent you gotta get yourself something a little more comfortable to get in and out… Of course, that means spend a little more money, but so be it
@@moulin680 Thank you for watching.
Currently on a similar journey to yours in terms of deciding what next Dave. I'm finding my current NC750X DCT is hard to replace with what's available at the moment. Love the DCT and the frunk and the lazy nature of the engine. The NT is the only bike that comes close but I'd have to overcome the loss of the usefulness of the frunk, which I've found increasingly indispensable. I don't like panniers as an alternative and I have a Honda top box on the NC currently, which is just enough capacity with the frunk. The Transalp was a contender, fleetingly, but with no frunk, no DCT and a more frantic engine than the NC and the original 600/650/700 Transalp from back in the day, I've ruled that out. So that leaves the NT1100 DCT. Your comments on the test ride of the NT previously were useful, particularly the seat comparison of the NC and the NT, which I find uncomfortable on my '23 NC. I've got around that by adding a seat pad, but that isn't without its issues. A pity about the insurance thing for you but give it a few years and that won't be such a problem. Unless something else more brilliant and useful than the NC DCT comes out I only have one serious contender to replace it at the moment and that's the NT. I feel a test ride is in the future for me 😃. Thanks for putting it on my radar!
First thank you for watching and leaving this message. If the insurance was better then I would be on the NT rather than the TA. Not that there is anything wrong with the TA at all but i admit, i was taken by the NT and even the DCT that I once used to dismiss. The NC is very good and many riders have no issue with the seat but my butt did not get on well with it even after going through the various seat accessories for comfort. The NT and TA have vastly superior handling than the NC which was the second reason I swapped. If the TA is not your kind of thing then I highly recommend the NT and I will be very jealous of you when you own one lol. Take the NT for a spin, and long one, I did 50+miles, and I think you will understand why I like it so much. I will wait a couple of years and see what is on offer to swap the TA with if at all as I am really growing to like the TA a lot. I wish you and and safe journeys.👍
Quick notes: I have bought two extra batteries for the camera meaning I will have four so around 4 hours video / ride time in future. The Tarp Tent is the name of the other style of Tarp tent I was trying to remember and I will go practice setting it up in my local park. Which will raise an eye brow or three lol The picture in the gallery at the end of the straw bail stack and partridges was taken of video and I nearly dropped the TA as I had the kick stand down but to high and it leant over the other side. With long forgotten ballet skills I managed to get off and keep the TA upright. Have not had my leg up that high in a very long time lol Starting the PhotoMotos earlier as doing a full day and then filming one is not very clever. But I have to say, doing the random Calimoto round trip was great fun and we all saw areas of England I and I assume you have never seen before. Planning the next one very very soon and thank you for the support of my new channel.
Good trip - Mud, mud glorious mud! I think it was a plough, but not 100%. You soon found some great green lanes pretty close to London (well does a lane with grass growing on it count as green?)
Thank you for the mile number. New batteries purchased and the next one will start earlier in the day. Nearly dropped the TA as put the side stand down in a high spot and very nearly lost balance lol. Did my best ballerina impersonation to get off the opposite side while keeping the bike upright. The shot of the hay stacks was worth it lol. Thank you for watching and wish you well.
I have a v-strom 650 XT 2021, but I am considering a transalp, not a big upgrade, but I need more upright seating , hands and back are killing me , it is not tnat a v-strom is not upright but transalp is mora than v-strom, kinda like versys 650, very upright seating.
One of the key reasons I upgraded from the NC750X. More upright position and better handling. Added two clicks on the rear preloaded, bit heavier than avg lol, and rides like a dream. Very pleased I shift up a notch. Wishing you well and safe journeys.
I bought a second hand Africa twin 17 plate dct. I didn’t want a dct and had never test road one. But the bike was an absolute bargain. And to be honest I absolutely hated the dct . I kept it for 2 years and due to the Covid bullshit and shortages of bikes I got more than I paid for it 2 years earlier off a Honda dealer not even in part ex just a straightforward sale. It had 4 modes drive which was awful. Sport 1 2 3 . I permanently rode it in sport 2 and 3 . I had previously test road a manual Africa twin and absolutely loved it . The dct ruins the bike as far as I’m concerned and wouldn’t ever buy another one. Why when you can get a quick shifter.
Park Cameras!!!! I would triple check that camera as I've never had a camera from them that wasn't faulty, four purchases!!!!!!
From my dealings with Park, there have been many, I have never had a reason to return anything due to being faulty or any reason for that matter. Sorry to hear of your experiences and wish you well.
Not getting on with the Insta360, so may sell it and get another DJI action 3 or stretch to the newer 4. Thank you all for the continued support so far and as always I wish you well and safe journeys.
Not come across Hasselblad before. Looks like an enjoyable camera system 📸😄
With the recent addition of the 907x but mainly the CFV II 50C back, i can mix and match the 500 c/m (film to digital) which really opens up the 50 year old cameras to new adventures. I will be doing a lot more of this, quiet new to me is this 907x, but I must admit the 907x is fast become my go to camera..... if it is dry outside. Elstree Aerodrome looks like a cool place that I found at the end of the video and will be doing so adventures there once I have introduced myself at the café. First service for the TA this Thursday and she has already loosened up nicely. I wish you well and safe journeys.
Howdy Dave, nice video and chat. Camera lost focus from time to time - Low light level struggles? Would 50 miles to be a reasonable Calimoto trip? I made a purchase from our mutual friends too NC750 but a DCT 🙂
HRG? So you did not fancy my one lol 🙂Must admit the DCT experience on the NT1100 was a head turner and when the insurance become a bit more resonable, that will be the bke for me. 50 miles sounds very civilized for the first Calimoto PhotoMoto trip. Wishing you well.
Love my NC750X DCT ! Great alround machine .Unbeatable fuel economy, more than enough power and comfortable. Frunk just seals the deal😊
I did mine but after putting 6k on it in the last few months, I just could not get on with the seat and the suspension, and thus handling, did not feel as good as the NT or the Transalp which I swapped it for. They are great bikes and if Honda could at least sort the seat out, a long-running discussion with many owners, then they really do have close to a perfect bike. I did like the NT1100 and nearly bought it on the spot when I took it back. 3k insurance stopped that :-) Wishing you well and safe journeys.
Ahh, the TA. 👍. I’ve had mine approaching three weeks and am just about at first service mileage. My bike has definitely run in well and is smoother now. I am delighted with it tbh and have no plans to change anything on it. I got the QS, heated grips, centre stand and lower bash plate. That’s all I wanted. I’ve been riding about 35 years now and my fully comp was £106 so hang in there, it does come down!
Thank you for that. So we are both in our early days of TA ownership. I got the rad plate as it was on it when I got it but not the bash plate as my off-road adventures will be nothing more than a gravel car park lol. Your insurance level gives me hope that next year I will have a few extra shillings in my wallet 🙂 I wish you well and safe journeys.
200 miles a day for 3 days = run in then service & enjoy.
Did a nice test run yesterday with a random Calimoto round trip to get to know her. Great fun and no sore bum 🙂 Going to munch that first 600 by the end of next week at this rate lol
Ahhh man ... thats a bummer on the insurance for the NT. Still, you got a sweet new bike .. a little too tall for me, hence why I went for the NT. Really hope you enjoy it, sure you will - they are lovely machines 😊
Yesterdays ride to and from work nailed the decision for me. A real improvement on the NC but I must admit, I am jealous of your ownership of the NT 🙂I wish you well and safe journeys.
No quick shifter/blipper?
Just uploading that answer 🙂
Congratulations on New Bike Day! Enjoy that lovely beast.
Thank you. I think i got a handle on the quick shifter yesterday but a ride to work (50 miles) this morning should figure it out lol. Wishing you well.
man,nc's seat is worst than transalp's
I agree and it is something Honda need to address. They have had long enough. The NC is a great motorbike but the seat...... I wish you well and safe journeys. Oh, and today is the day 🙂video later.
I have the NC and the NT and love both bikes but for different reasons. There is no doubt the NT is from a different design generation (my NC is 2019). The modern design that has gone into the NT is superior to the NC and rides better in just about every department. However, the NC is such an easy going, forgiving bike with a great engine for short shifting that it is hard not to love. I have the DCT version of the NT and Sport is really the only mode to ride in as you discovered. Good luck with your choice and am sure both are correct for different reasons.
Thank you for your reply. I just returned from our short break and am starting to get sorted out for Tuesday's drop-off for work to be done to the NC or pick up the NT or Transalp. Wishing you well and safe journeys
In 2020 I bought myself a Honda NC750X-DCT. I felt the DCT was made for the NC, but unfortunately it kept sticking in gear so I sold it. Nonetheless the NC won a special place in my affections purely because of how easy it was to live with. Fast forward 2 Hayabusa's and 2 ZZR1400's and I found myself hankering for another NC. Last year I bought myself a 2017 NC750X, but this time a geared model. I kept my ZZR, with the intention of seeing which of the two bikes I would "choose to use" the most. 12 months later and I can confirm the NC gets chosen 19 times out of 20. Sure, the ZZR is like your alcoholic uncle (great fun to spend time with, but you just cannot keep up the pace) but the NC is like your favourite pair of slippers. Ironically a few weeks ago I was giving serious consideration to part-exing the NC for a Transalp, but after a particularly good day riding the NC from Warwickshire all around Dorset (400+ miles) I reached the conclusion that 58hp is enough, and here's why: First off the NC deals with the motorways with aplomb. It will hold a steady 85 (not that I did obviously) and when you arrive in The New Forest it is so light that at no time did I feel like I was having to work hard to enjoy the ride. Furthermore the frunk is so useful for storing the crash helmet. On the way back the traffic was horrendous but once again the NC showed its agility in splitting the lanes filtering. Sure, the Transalp can do this too. But once the traffic cleared I got the NC up to its optimum cruising speed. With only 58hp this meant a speed that I obviously didn't do earlier on! It is at this point that the Honda is telling me "no more please dad", and so I settle into the rhythm that almost assures me I won't lose my license. Not so the Transalp or the ZZR. Both of those machines have enough capability that license-losing speeds are easily attainable. Then factor in the 100mpg+ the NC is regularly returning me and you might understand why I decided getting rid of the NC would be a huge mistake.
Wow, thank you for such a full and concise reply. I have looked into upgrading some areas on my NC, a manual, suspension front and back, and the seat, but on reflection the return, comfort, is not guaranteed as it is subjective. My butt had a better time don't the Transalp and an even better one on the NT so I think you can all guess the direction I am heading 🙂 No matter what motorbike you ride, please be safe and have wonderful journeys. I wish you well.
@@DavesPhotoUK And that's the best part of biking....there's a bike for everyone out there. Enjoy the ride, stay safe.
I bought myself a lightly used manual NT1100 a few months ago ... after riding nothing but naked bikes for the last 2 decades. The NT is bigger and heavier than any of my previous bikes, a very different kettle of fish indeed. Didn't take long at all to get used to it though as it's such a well balance bike and the weight is fairly low (especially compared to tall ADV bikes). I love my NT and have found it's pretty good all around .... comfortable, exceptional wind and weather protection, lots of practicality with the luggage and technology, it destroys long motorway journeys with ease and can also put a smile on my face on the back lanes and twisties too. For a relatively large and heavy bike it handles really well, turns quite quickly and is very stable mid corner .. suspension can be a little soft when really pushing on and riding aggressively though .. but thats easy to remedy (all be it at some expense). Never really saw myself as a touring bike rider .. but here we are .. and life on the NT is good!! 🙂
@MotoGoato Thank you for the feedback. It is an easy big bike to ride, and the manual was / is my first choice. Getting on this 1100 and using DCT was novel but soon got used to the idea. S mode is great and should be the mode I would stick with if I buy it. I wish you well and safe journeys 👍
@@DavesPhotoUK You're welcome ... also with regards to your left shoulder issue, I also have a left shoulder issue - from a childhood injury ... the NTs bars in their stock position tend to aggravate the injury a bit and can cause a painful ache to flare up after an hour or so of riding. A couple of weeks ago I installed a set of Voigt offset bar risers that move the bars 30mm upwards and also 20mm back towards the rider ... definitely made a big improvement and I'm no longer getting the shoulder ache on rides. Which pretty much mirrors your feelings about the stock bar position .. from what you said I rekon the Voigt risers would put the bars in the perfect place for you too 😉
@@MotoGoato noted and thank you for the advise. I will put it into action if I buy the NT.
I ended up getting the NT1100 DCT and love it. The one tip the salesman gave me when I was taking a test ride was never ever put it in D mode. He said S1 was good for about town and S2 and S3 for some fun. I find S1 and S2 suits me best.
@barrygormley1618 if I do swap the NC for the NT the I agree, I doubt it would be in "D" mode at all. "S" mode feels like normal riding. I did not know there was a 1,2,3 series in "S" . Wishing you well and safe travels
@@DavesPhotoUK Yes, when it’s in sport mode, if you the hold the S button down it will change between S1, 2 and 3. Each S mode is slightly more aggressive in holding onto gears. Also if you were finding the throttle snatchy in S mode if you change the user mode to urban it’s a slightly more relaxed throttle response 👍
Enjoyed the video - the tease continues 😂Enjoy a fantastic break in Wales - hopefully the weather will be on your side
I will be off to Wells on Wednesday and then back to HGB on Monday to sign the papers. But which one :-)
Just happened across this ….. I’ve just bought myself a Transalp, same colour, thoroughly delighted with it. It’s got that ‘whatever you want I can do it no problem’ feeling about it, (to me anyway). It’s not especially high tech or showy but I do think it’s a really good bike. Now you may have gone another way which is fine, we all like different things.
Look forward to seeing which way you go! I think you got more smiles from the Transalp but that power was winning you over with the NT1100. Great decisions to be making. Come what may keep up the blogs 🙂
Thank you for the feedback. The decision is made and not completely by me. Having a break with Mrs C next week then picking up the new bike, maybe 🙂 I wish you well
