2024 november tuning in thx Father
Impressed! I have years and years worth of experience in public speaking and this young priest is a bloody legend in this regard! Appears to be unflappable!
Watching from Kerala, india
I have those books. I can’t figure it all out.
Thank you very much. Great video. Greg
Divine office helps me overcome my laziness and lack of discipline.. Still struggle though but I know the solution. It's half the problem solved
Great talk 🙏✝️🙏
At midnight I start with my rosary and then at sunrise I begin the Liturgy of the hours. I pray all of them and then after the last night prayer I pray the fatima prayers and to my patron saint 🙏🏼 praying like this has been LIFE CHANGING for me. My whole being has been drastically transformed and I was healed from a tumor.
You are so holy… Is that the response your seeking with your comment?
@@diegobarragan4904 I was not doing that I was saying the commitment on my part has made a very big difference in my life it took me being more dedicated. I'll pray for your heart ❤️
Good testimony btw brother
@@diegobarragan4904if you got a tumor and your days were numbered, you would understand the severity that motivated @catholicprodigal to pray such way
how to use and pray the liturgy of the hour?
Thank You Jesus I trust in You Amen . For some reason I'd been trying to find and understand what the liturgy of the hours means lauds etc..then suddenly come across this video on the screen of my phone
It’s the next chapter in acts 5 that Christians need to learn... not lying to one another.
Commercials are jarring as it comes on just priest about to make a profound point. It undermines the confessional quality of trying to find the right attitude..
That family should be excommunicated, such shitty parenting to stay in the church, that irreverent and selfish to null and void the Lord ‘s due worship. Most inconsiderate Catholics, they know better.
There’s a speaker in the hallway... but doesn’t matter they’re not worshiping.
Even if Susana were a slut, rape is rape, even with in marriage. Get consent. The Lord is no longer allowing the clergy to get away with rape. Drugging and raping the laity, each other, and seminarians, is killing Christ's body, and our Dad is intolerant of it. #AuxiliaryBishopDavidOConnell #mafialearnedfromkoc #stopactinglikedrugcartelminions
How do you pray the Litergy of the hours when working?
It may be hard to pray all 7 hours depending upon your occupation and if you have kids. But the best hours to try are Midday Prayer and Compline.. try out those first, If you can fit more hours, add Lauds
Many of the mid day ones only take 10 mins or less to get through
The reformed liturgy of the hours are designed to be quite adaptable for the busy life. The office of readings can be prayed at anytime during the day. You can pray morning prayer before work; pick one of the midday prayers during break or right after work (takes five minutes); pray evening prayer when home from work and night prayer before bed. Vespers and compline can even be added together if need be.
Praise The Lord Saints of The Most High God 🙌 🙏🏾
Hello😊
You're not going to get the gospel in Matins NOW. Use a pre VII Matins service, since VII struck out the gospel (of all things).
found the sede
@@electrical_cord what's sede about using your eyeballs and reading the rubrics.
Most priests found the older version too burdensome. The reforms were made for a reason and the Holy Ghost protects the Church from error. Some of the removed readings are simply because it syncs with the readings of the Mass - meaning that the reformed two year and three year cycle of readings for Mass means less readings during the LOTH since they synchronize together. Or in other words, the gospel was not so much removed but switched over to the Mass. The reformed LOTH is such that lay people and clergy alike can pray it. That being said, for those who feel drawn to the old divine office they are permitted to recite it.
Hello💕💕💕💕💕
I thought we were oppression free during that mass... we were not. What I was realizing was the priest's awareness. That's what was new. #conversionofhearts #thechurchistooworldly
🥰😘
Thank you, my brother in Christ, Paul. Yes, persona Christi is life's fullness in humanity, worked out, by carry your and your brothers cross. It's amazing-life in Christ...raise the dead, heal the sick, see and know so much more. The eating from the tree of good and evil, was a cheap selfish shortcut, to dabble in divine wisdom, gifts, and reduce our relationship with God, to ad hoc.
... oh, this homily... still not finished... evidence of the Holy Spirit moving us back on track.
...AND in persona Christi, Christ is MADE VISIBLE. Romans 13:14 - The New International Version (NIV) 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. John 3:30. “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Philippians 2:5-11 In-Context 5 In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus. 6 Christ himself was like God in everything. But he did not think that being equal with God was something to be used for his own benefit. 7 But he gave up his place with God and made himself nothing.
...literally, the only joy I truly have, is to see flashes of him others.
You know there was a time, in the old testament, the people stood around all day to hear a priest read the law of God....and were grateful to the Lord for bringing it to their attention. Nehemiah 8:5-18 5 Ezra opened the scroll. All of the people could see him. That's because he was standing above them. As he opened the scroll, the people stood up. 6 Ezra praised the Lord. He is the great God. All of the people lifted up their hands. They said, "Amen! Amen!" Then they bowed down. They turned their faces toward the ground. And they worshiped the Lord. 7 The Levites taught the Law to the people. They remained standing while the Levites taught them. The Levites who were there included Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai and Hodiah. They also included Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan and Pelaiah. 8 All of those Levites read parts of the Scroll of the Law of God to the people. They made it clear to them. They told them what it meant. So the people were able to understand what was being read. 9 Then Nehemiah and Ezra spoke up. So did the Levites who were teaching the people. All of those men said to the people, "This day is set apart to honor the LORD your God. So don't sob. Don't be sad." All of the people had been sobbing as they listened to the words of the Law. Nehemiah was governor. Ezra was a priest and a teacher of the law. 10 Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy some good food and sweet drinks. Send some of it to those who don't have any. This day is set apart to honor our Lord. So don't be sad. The joy of the LORD makes you strong." 11 The Levites calmed all of the people down. They said, "Be quiet. This is a sacred day. So don't be sad." 12 Then all of the people went away to eat and drink. They shared their food with others. They celebrated with great joy. Now they understood the words they had heard. That's because everything had been explained to them. 13 All of the family leaders gathered around Ezra, the teacher. So did the priests and Levites. All of them paid attention to the words of the Law. It was the second day of the month. 14 The LORD had given the Law through Moses. He wanted the people of Israel to obey it. It is written there that they were supposed to live in booths during the Feast of Booths. That Feast was celebrated in the seventh month...."
Just remember God loves you more, you have a warm bed and comrads.... and maybe even family, other friends, and other people who trust you for absolutely no reason other than your vocation.... and hot meals... and such more.
2 Peter 2 [1] putting them into gloomy dungeons [2] to be held for judgment;if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others;and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men(for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)--[3][4] and despise authority. Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings;yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not bring slanderous accusations against such beings in the presence of the Lord. They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you. [5]With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed--an accursed brood! They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Beor, who loved the wages of wickedness. But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey--a beast without speech--who spoke with a man's voice and restrained the prophet's madness. These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity--for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit," [6] and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud."[4] Greek Tartarus[4] Some manuscripts into chains of darkness[9] Or unrighteous for punishment until the day of judgment[10] Or the flesh[13] Some manuscripts in their love feasts[22] Prov. 26:11

Fr. Alcott is a giver of so many godly, intellectual and personal gifts. His wisdom is truly a guiding light in this lost, darkened world. The christian family at St.Pats, is blessed with a pastoral source of hope at the altar and the ambo, with this man. Thanks and praise to God for his leadership.
Gal. 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.. And Jesus: prophet, priest, and king. (Matt. 12:41), greater than the temple (Matt. 12:6), and greater than Solomon (Matt. 12:42). In case we were in any doubt, Jesus is explicitly called a prophet (Luke 13:33, Acts 3:22-23), priest (Heb. 3:1), and king (Rev. 17:14). Mary brought her Lamb to the temple . Luke 2:22. And there Simeon, acknowledges Jesus' salvation-A final sacrifice. Thx Mary, for doing everything a priest does....
There's serious deep truth in that homily. Watch it again.
Love ya so much for this homily! Today's readings are a smack of reality for me and a reminder, that it's not a hallucination, the conversion He commands is real, and He always proves against my daily denial of what my being has heard. Absolutely terrifying what I might be asked to do...so I don't think about it. To live in ignorance of possible reactions, is a gift. Thx be to God that I can continue on like this. May the Holy Spirit grant Christ's acceptance to our Father's Will to you, with supernatural fortitude. Lofty; both the mission and the thickness of our spiritual wool. (loft·y /ˈlôftē/ Learn to pronounce adjective 1. of imposing height. "the elegant square was shaded by lofty palms" Similar: tall high giant towering soaring sky-high sky-scraping imposing magnificent majestic Opposite: low short 2. (of wool and other textiles) thick and resilient)
Christians are to welcome more than clerics, and the Way is to sell all you have and give to the poor or to share in common. We are so far from what we should be. We are too worldly. Know more about living as Christ personified, the life lived endowed with spiritual gifts, and merge into one mind, one body, one spirit doing the will of the Father.
Good morning! Blessings and peace to all 🙏🏻🌹
