So here's a small problem I've picked. I found this after a few months of driving and wondering why the fuel consumption was so high. This is the variable inlet manifold that vw/audi installed on their v6/v8 engines. Here you can see the bottom lever hardly moves causing the right bank to not get enough air/fuel mixture. The vacuum diaghram - that suction cup thing was recently replaced but the lever that moves it back and forth is sluggish. I'll need to pull it out and try and clean it to get a smooth action of pulling the Diaphragm. These are common issues to look for on these vehicles. In addition to the levers and linkages being made from plastic which wears quickly. The linkage here is made from billet cast aluminum which is an aftermarket part supplied by Gruven parts. I'll need to get the billet cast levers as well to add part of resolving the issue.
