Who’s playing golf?
I was riding a train through the Scottish highlands (in the mid-eighties), when I caught a glimpse (I call it a glimpse because they were moving SO fast) of two jets, which blazed low over head and then twisted and turned through the hills and disappeared. I've never seen a fighter move so fast and with such agility since. I always wondered where their base was.
In Scotland, Fighter Squadrons were based at RAF Leuchars and RAF Lossiemouth. I was born and brought up in the Highlands, and we got a lot of low flying Fighter Aircraft. One Day there was a horrific crash, an RAF Tornado went in at the top of Glen Ogle, just a few miles from our Village. Nasty Business.

Depends where you want to watch from. There is one part you can almost drive to IF you ask the farmer first and follow his instructions. Another bit about half way up can be quite good
You can talk F22 all day, and it's an amazing aircraft, but the F15 is the GOAT, plain and simple.

I live in Wales, and I have been to the mach loop and felt the boom inside me when f15s past, and it was awesome! Highly recommend it!

The F-15 Eagle is still a magnificent bird to this day … absolutely formidable at it’s dual role purpose.
