Stanford, CA. 2/9/73
I love you too Dana 😑
Garcia and Hunter had the magic. "Everything I'm tellin' Heard it first from you!"
Absolutely smokin hot! I found this in 2012 I believe, glad it’s still kickin around.
Zone de phillip
Nice
The best one. Lawd you see that its true.
They loved each other have a soul shine life....
This is the cocaine version of this tune. It soon became a heroin song from then on.
My buddy just played this at his wedding for the first dance, legendary!!
How anyone could prefer the later 70s version of this tune is beyond me...I get the similarity to china cat and whatnot, but hell if this isn't one hell of a jam
Best version ever 🙌
Absolutely love this Version, generally like the faster , more upbeat R&B versions of all their songs 🎉
Is it just me, or would this version fit in with China/Rider? Start with this, segue into China and then wrap with Rider
so good we are so lucky
AWEeeeESome
Incendiary
Pure unadulterated awesomeness
Most definitely
Lordy , too good!
Angel massive attack
This is such a different song at this tempo. It’s got a real “Mr Charlie” feel
One of Richard’s fav❤❤
My favorite version of this wonderful song. Love how they funked it up! ❤️
the only version I've heard at this tempo

as a guitar player, jerry had the most interesting way of playing. it's kind of like classical fingerwork in some ways. It's amazing how complex his picking style is with a missing finger.
this graphic is an acid trip
Oh yeah 👍
oooooo didnt know the back story .... i get it
imo best version hands down
my favorite version, i love it so much
good on \you
Don't you know..... They made a fine connection 🙃
How did i end up here..?
🐢🐇
Never heard this little spunky version
Greatest rendition. One of the best show recordings ever IMO. Tremendous show. Top 20 IMO.
was there - can't say it was the best out of so many, but the boys were on and so many new numbers - and a sprung wood basketball floor!
My dear Tommy has gone Home to Father....Bet he's hanging with Jerry sometimes.....ANYWAY...."Got it from the top" is right....the top is God!! And so Tommy and I are....
In my mind this the absolute height of a love song Jerry is able to be 100%authentic in his emotional cohesion. He makes it sound so genuine. Might be my new favorite replacing the former #1 Box of Rain. A new jam in the #1 position. For now anyway this is numero uno
As the old folks in the 70s said, THINGS HAVE CHANGED SO MUCH! I didn't understand what they eant, but boy do I now! The foundations for present evil and tyranny were being.laid THEN, right before our eyes, but evil moves gradually, as not to arouse suspicion.
Jerry’s lead playing is the sound of the guitar smiling if I’ve ever heard.
First version I heard this song it was real slow and it’s frickin awesome. But, this faster version is funky as hell. I like toooo
It was 73.....
@Tyler Thompson - This!! That is the best description of his playing!
So sweet. That sound system was a machine.
Noice 😎😁...
this was the day I was born in Toronto Ontario- thanks mom and dad.
Smoking
Fav version how can anybody thumb down this recording...
Thank you, Thank you Jerry <3 <3 <3
💃🕺💜
This. SO MUCH THIS. MY #1 Favourite version. Wish I could travel time. IMAGING THAT TRIP????? THEN Dosing??? LORD, YOU CAN THAT IT'S TRUE!
This one goes out to every one of you☺
PHIL BOMBS! Nothing new but this version is my fav
These early versions were basically just I Second That Emotion with new lyrics haha
...with a dash of China Cat...🕺🙏✌
@@MarkMasters... That was the first thing I caught. The riff sounds so much like China Cat. They could have done a blend of China/Love/Rider
Now you're talkin' tease royale.
