Today, we've finally reached one of the most interesting topics related to the GSM module SIM800. In this blog, we will write and test two programs. One is a simple verification program for sending text messages (SMS), and the other is a bit more complex, involving sending measured air temperature. I've already talked about our module for connecting the Arduino Nano and SIM800 in previous video...

    Excellent description! I am going to try to figure out how to use this for when my Freenove esp32 cam module hangs for no apparent reason. [Note]: I understand that by the time the esp32 hangs, it's too late to do anything. Maybe a soft reset (what you describe in your video), would be appropriate at some arbitrary interval? Any advice on this would be helpful. I subscribed to your channel. Thanks Again, JD.

    Hello. Could you please answer a question about those modules: I used two Arduinos with NRF24L01+PA+LNA to control a robot remotely (one as a transmitter and one on the robot). Recently I bought a few ESP32 units to replace the Arduinos. However, there are 2 ways to control the robot now: through NRF24L01+PA+LNA modules, like before (but connected to ESP32 instead of Arduino), or through the ESP32's built-in WiFi. The second variant obviously has much less wires and thus is simpler and more reliable. But which one will have less delay and withstand interference better?

    • @pinoutuno
      @pinoutuno 6 місяців тому

      Both options are good in terms of exchange speed. NRF24L01+PA+LNA has longer range and lower power consumption. The ESP32 controller itself will be more responsive without using Wi-Fi

    • @stas_robotmaker
      @stas_robotmaker 6 місяців тому

      @@pinoutuno Thanks, I have already tried both. ESP32 with external antenna has much longer range than NRF, especially indoors, is more reliable, and contains everything in a single module. So it is better than NRF in everything.

    I built this meter > ua-cam.com/video/t_RtPClt_Pc/v-deo.html and it works well on 9V. The AD8313 module can take 7-15V of DC at the input and you have just demonstrated that the Arduino Nano can take 12.1V and still run. I just made an 18650 3s battery pack that I was going to use on the meter, but your comment to Xyzer states you still recommend 9V on VIN. Would you advise using 12.6/11.1V at VIN for the meter I have built? I am also using a Nano Clone from China that I had lying around.

    • @pinoutuno
      @pinoutuno Рік тому

      Let's say the nano draws 70mA. The linear voltage regulator on the nano board will heat the air with a power of (12V-5V) * 0.07A = 0.5W (it cannot withstand such heating for a long time). Nano consumes 5*0.07=0.35W. Efficiency will be approximately 40%. Do you need to heat the air or power the controller? I recommend you use a switching voltage regulator like LM2596 module and 5V pin. Its efficiency approaches 92%

    • @Bobisyouruncle999
      @Bobisyouruncle999 Рік тому

      @@pinoutuno Thank you for your reply. I will take your advice and use a buck converter or LM2596.
