@thewiseoutlaw41 hay and something that gets overlooked you're vocally a good singer and guitar wise a good guitarist but more importantly and espeshilly you're putting it togeather at the same time it's one thing to be able to do either of those two things separately but to put them to weather at the same time takes a good cirdination and being in sink with self its like a new level if musicianship I know ide been playing guitar for around 20 years before I ever tried to vically skwack a note so yeah finding my limited vocal range to much booze and stogies and than coordinating the 2 has been a jurney all its own so salute × 2 for you for having that shizzle togeather

I tell my son there has to be more of ME to do both, to be Keith Richards and Mick Jagger at the same time….(can’t you hear me knocking is almost ready)..I decided to take it seriously in 2020 when everything shut down, I’m already overjoyed with the results. Thanks, amigo. It’s so fun to try to channel these songs. I didn’t really try singing until 2020, and before guitar was kind of a drinking hobby. Nice to know a fellow picker can appreciate my efforts. Quite a few more in the pipeline, covers and originals. 🎸🎸

@ Yes, you understand the growth aspect! Also I feel getting a song ready to share, decent but never perfect, is a very valuable process. Lastly, for my originals I am assuming the videos could act as a proof of ownership / copyright of sorts. I told my kid if I make it into the mainstream one day, these early songs will be considered classics! 😜😜

Oh, thanks! I keep trying to do different styles and make sure to really bring the vocals. I think the next one sounds pretty balanced also, maybe that’s the magic distance from the IPad. 🎸🎸

I like that line too! It’s just regular tuning, I fret the low F and G with the thumb, and leave out the high notes usually. With the 12 that sounds kind of mysterious, I find.🦉🦉🎸🎸

@@pgprojex haha! I always laugh at the thumps, they are mostly unintentional. I have a little plastic stool that I rest my right foot on, and often the foot just starts tapping as I try to bring the groove. Glad you enjoyed the song, I have been mostly writing on the 12 string lately, when it’s just you it brings a full spectrum behind you and a mysterious quality, I find. I read somewhere that David Bowie usually composed his stuff on a 12 string, and it would make sense to me. 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🎸🎸🦉🦉

@@thewiseoutlaw41 Haha! I use a yoghurt bucket as my foot stool. Everyone loves Bowie, so can't go wrong with that reference. Another who uses 12-string more than 6 is Melissa Etheridge, and yeah when playing solo it certainly fills out the sound. I've tried playing 12-string many times, but I've never owned one because my fingers are too fat and they always mute strings, so I take my hat off to those who can play one. Avagd1!

@@pgprojex Thanks for the feedback! Yes, I noticed the volume is quite low, it’s just an iPad recording, pretty low- fi. As for Ani, yes! One of my all time favourites, along with PJ Harvey and Anais Mitchell.

@@pgprojex Yes, I found Anais Mitchell when she opened for Ani DiFranco 15 years ago. Shepherd and Wedding Song would be good intros, and she plays with a band called Bonnie Light Horseman now, AMAZING band, The Roving and Summer Dream are standout tracks. I looked for your cover of Send His Love To Me, that’s got a big strum sound! I don’t see it posted, though. Time After Time sounds beautiful, though!

@@thewiseoutlaw41 Anais has a really interesting voice, and her sound is stripped back but rather unique, I like it, so thanks for the recommendations. I laughed when I read "Bonnie Light Horsemen" because I for the last couple of weeks I've been enjoying another fellow UA-camr like us named Stuart Clifford doing a beautiful version of that song. The Bonny Light Horsemen have lovely harmonies, and musically they remind me a bit of The Band, again thanks for recommendations. Thank you also for your kind words about Time After Time, much appreciated. If you search YT for "pgprojex Send His Love To Me", you'll find it on my 'South Australian music only' channel 'elephant umbrella'. That channel has heaps of my old different band recordings, but earlier this year I stopped using it for pgprojex.
