What a great program and group of volunteers!
Great video, loved the text explaining where you were at etc.
Thanks
Education & stunning scenes packed into one video. Wow!
I carry a green laser and have a Starlink Satellite system powered by a Milwaukee battery and power inverter. 3 hours of use on one charge. Also carry Oxbow radio. With the green laser you can light up someone 20 miles away and get their attention. Especially something that flies. They will find you really fast! Never been glacier riding but I do ride around the Paxson / Denali Highway area.
I love everything about this!! Excellent program! Thank you for all you do! Would really love to interview you all!
Any time. Cheers
I want to join this ride next year. Barry
With these tunes, people expect you to be twirling glow Stix.
Beautiful! I miss Alaska 😢. I miss Arctic Man, Snowmachining, mile 196. Riding from my house down the pipe line, then 15 miles up the Chena River to Chena Lakes and back; fun times.
I too would love to see your route. I'm stuck on what sled to buy to do trips like this. Is reasonable to do this with a Expedition / Titan or do you need more of a mountain sled?

Great trip
Average Alaskan adventure! Just kidding, that's a badass route. Nice job fellas!
I've been wanting to do this ride for probably 10 years. I've done the Thompson Pass to Eureka run but haven't been able to get the Million Dollar Bridge or Cordova ride done. I'd love to see your route on a map if you wouldn't mind sharing.
Any time. send me a message on Facebook

That is Hard Core Riding!!
Amazing and hilarious. Awesome riding with you yesterday!
I trail ride solo most of the time. my riding is in northern maine, not exceptionally remote but certainly after hours it can be. I have one bag stuffed like a Christmas turkey that is dedicated to emergency gear that stays on the sled. the skidoo linq system has gotten so good it allows me to bring that bag and still have the room to bring clothes and other gear for the ride itself along with extra fuel. nice piece of mind.
Thanks you for sharing your adventure. Well done.
Are you guys all friends and do this every years? this is rare to find a group of guys willing to do this challenge. I am looking for an adventure like this for 2024 but its really hard to find experience group of guys that seem to get along and have a great adventure. Are you all open to more joining your adventure or are you mostly good friends keeping a low fun profile with just your friends? you guys really rock and it looks like a dream trip that i would love to join if its duplicated next year
Groups over 4 are more rare
Awesome footage!! Can’t wait for the next one.

What a trip! Never having snowmachined can anyone explain why the sleds are always flat on snow as opposed to being on skis to reduce drag....I am sure there is a logical answer "center of gravity" etc.. Just would have thought on skis ...easier to pull , less effort and as such less fuel used? Great trip!
Uhmw plastic is very easy to pull and less likely to have issues when crossing water etc. less pounds per square inch on the surface of the snow works really well.
can you share the type brand of snow sled trailer s and hitch your using in the video..
www.airframesalaska.com/Northern-Sled-Works-s/1877.htm. Siglen sleds. Excellent sleds.
Great Video Mike. Looks like you had amazing weather! Thank you to you and your team for getting the message out there, its time!
Was awesome to meet you all well done my friend’s.
Ice picks- two 6” nails work for me…
Ugh. That spring guide got me too. It didn’t break the bolt came out. The spring then got into the track window and cut right down the track. About 10 windows. Then I turned track backward and got it out. Tucked the spring inside of the rail and did another 200 miles to get home. I check that bolt often now
Which team put this together?
Alaska Safe Riders - Mike Buck
I was Chris’ partner for the 2000 Iron Dog The first one for both of us, it’s good to see him doing fantastic!
He is an amazing guy.
Thank you for sharing your adventure. I’m armchairing it from Southern California.
Awesome video
Been there, done that!
Been there, done that!
Great trip, nice. My ass hurts just watching.
love your video nice riding with people that know how to ride and not breaking your sled to much I started on a nordic when I was 13i think and still on da same KIND OF ride got skandic wt 600 ho modified just enough I ride up north Quebec L"ABITIBI its call. around the reservoir GOUIN love it the go ice fishing for walley heaven guys take care ride safe the mountain MAN
man what scenery.
Those damn spring supports! I heard stories of it happening and first notice it happening on my 2021 Skandic WT. I was paranoid so I replaced them every year. The 2020 Expedition LE that I upgraded to has a different part number for that spring support and I have noticed they do not wear as quickly as the old ones.
What an awesome looking trip! I have done a couple trips very similar to that, crossfox sleds, a bunch of WT’s or SWT’s, AO’s, and Coors Lights. I think we have many of the same interests as well, I was the one who always took pictures and videos and turned them into movies. They all have copyrighted music so I don’t put them on UA-cam, but I have posted a couple on Facebook. I am glad that there are people out there traveling like that. I am still making some trips but it is hard to get a gang all free at the same time, and takes a bit more planning and motivation. Watching the ice you drove on makes me thankful for the nice solid ice we have around Kotzebue. Overflow and white outs can get people, but around here not usually any open water or real thin spots that are not predictable and few. Happy trails man
This is nothing compared to what us Inuit go through up in Kuujjuaq Quebec, btw nice vid
Love to get up your way some day. I’ll keep practicing. Cheers and stay safe up there.
Really enjoy your video how much fuel did you all pack with you an how many miles did you put on I did a run something like what you all did my machine is a 600 ace I took 75 gallons we did 900 miles or 1500 Kim’s in 9days You can not beat good friends on a trip like that thanks for sharing brought back a lot of memories
Only had to carry an extra 20 or so to get to our stops.
That’s only 12 mpg. That’s not great. I though the 600 ace could get about 25 mpg.
@@LostCaper hauling those sleds you burn double the amount of fuel. I have seen som sleds burn over 10 mpg
Do.ypu guys carry a rifle when travelling in those parts?
No not really needed.
What do you use for a winch setup?
We had one guy with a skidoo winch setup. Used it once and it was fantastic. I may get one for my new expedition this season.
Great Info, thank you.
Awesome adventure! (added to favorites) I didn't see any northern lights footage.. That's it , Redo the trip.
Got a few new ones planned for this winter.👍🏻try to get some northern lights on those. Cheers
Looks like a great bunch living life to the fullest!
Cool:) I went into a different one there that went about 3 football fields back into the glacier and ended in a huge room where you could look up through a crevasse, pretty wicked. I had a tiny 3 ft tall entrance/wormhole.
Very cool. I’d like to see that one. Some amazing ones around for sure. A couple up high I’d like to rappel into and explore.
nice duder:) Brian told me about that lol. Definitely good to look up phone numbers ahead of time and make sure they are in your inreach. I always carry a -20F sleeping bag and pad and a couple or sterno cans for heat when I travel solo.
Yes yes Inreach and some comfort gear for sure. 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice man:). Had a few good days out there this spring!
Awesome, Mike. Got a link to a clinic on how to set up a Z-drag?
Very cool. I think I’m interested in that class. It includes riding to Valdez from where, Eureka?
Eureka to Thompson pass or Valdez depending on snowpack
I’m heading that way on Monday. Only been there one time before. Cool vid!👍👍👍
