Is an AGM battery a good choice for your boat in the primary position?
Because of charging concerns, the AGM battery may not be a great choice in the primary position. It's life may be shortened and your motor's rectifier may get damaged as mine did.

    Well done, but I suggest a couple of improvements of your method. The corks come 1.25" diameter. Clamp a board to your drill press and with a Forstner bit drill a 1.25" hole about 1/4" deep. Keeping the board clamped, set your corks in the hole to drill the center hole to size and dead on the center. Gorilla glue of similar polyurethane glues are a great choice for gluing cork. You wet the cork so It foams and fills voids.

    I have a tracker 190 and I am trying to install a ghost trolling motor. My question is, did your positioning or angle of your ghost mount differ a lot from old trolling motor mount area? I am trying to find the best position with proper overhang and keeping motor head still inside boat. Looks like you angled it different which puts more of the unit in deck area when stowed. Which is what I would have to do. Just checking before drilling new holes. Did you plug your old holes or left alone?

    • @camomano2
      @camomano2 2 роки тому

      Jasen, my Motor Guide holes did not match the Ghost so I just put it where I wanted it. I believe Lowrance calls for 1” off the bow and, as you mentioned, position the head inside the rails. I do have some exposed holes. You can get plastic plugs to fill them or be lazy like me and place a decal over them. Actually, I believe there’s only one. I’m willing to take some updated photos of the positioning if you like. Let me know Thanks Tom

The only way I can get mine head unit to line up inside is to have the front of mount not be 100 percent parallel with the curve to the bow. Hopefully that makes sense. If you have a 75hp or larger Mercury motor all you have to do is get a lifting hook that screws into the flywheel, costs about $20.

    Hello from Sweden! Good video, just wonders if its the 47" in length ghost, have ordered the 52" but I think it can be to long.

      Joakim, it's 47". Do you have a bass style boat or a "V" bottom. 52" should be fine for a "V" bottom boat.

    They need to add pickerel. When bass aren't cooperating, pickerel can save the day.

    🙋 so are they done fixing this minsi lake yet, also did the Pennsylvania fishing game commission stock it yet for the new trout fishing season to open up and start. The last time I finished this, I think I was 21 years old and soon I'm going to be 47. I would love to come and fish on my birthday.

      Shawn, the fish commission says they stocked the lake on March 9th for the April 3rd opening. I can’t confirm that but if you go over there, I’m sure you’ll be able to see some swimming around.

      @@camomano2 Truthfully... I feel the same way... I have had a restaurant... Bar-B-Q Stand... and now seriously thinking about doing Beef Jerky again. PLASTIC is Toxic... not for cold foods as much... but especially when you HEAT it up. Example: I was having stomach problems... every day. and someone noticed I did NOT use a real spoon to stir my HOT coffee every day... I used a Plastic Spoon to Stir my HOT Coffee. I was advised NOT to use a Plastic Spoon for seriously HOT things, because the residue from the plastic would seep in my HOT Coffee. I didn't think it would make THAT much of a difference... IT DID... Instantly I saw a difference and the Taste of my coffee was better. I do use FREEZER BAGS... COLD... but nothing plastic when it's hot. My stomach problems went away in a few days. I also NEVER cook Anything in Aluminum Pots... both of my parents and grandparents had nerve damage cooking in Aluminum. I only use Aluminum Foil... on Top of a pan (hot), not touching the meat... Parchment paper for wrapping.
