    Man, i really want that machine, so cool. I like a little voice over the workflow, makes the video more personal. Especially liked the part where you said you were nervous before pouring the latte art. We get to experience your journey and the beginner home barristas will know it’s normal to feel so.     A lot of channelling going on, use your wdt well enough. Dial in to much more finer ground, your extraction is too fast. Ang gawa ko 18g in/36g out in approx. within 35sec. Milk froth too foamy. Planning to buy a marax, does it have a PID and autoshut off?

      Salamat sa tips! ☺️ Hirap pa rin ako ma-achieve yung tamang consistency ng milk, either too foamy or too thin 😂. Meron PID ang Mara X pero di nga lang sys programmable unlike sa ibang machines. Sa pagkakaalam ko, standby mode lang meron, which is ma-activate after 30 minutes of inactivity. Gamit na lang siguro smart plug para may auto on at off.

    I like a slower infusion time on my machines so i grind for it, but from the video i would go for the Lelit mara x. But as you know the machine dont matter that much, the grinder and the coffeé it self is the most importent part😊❤

      also tips on using df54 1.Hot start mo yung grinder plus slow feed the beans. This creates better consistency when using bellows. 2.better to use a dosing cup than direct portafilter a slight shake while using dosing cup removes big clumps helps with channelling. ideal for grinders with bellows ang dosing cup 3.Personally id rather not use a leveler just for consistency kumuha ka na lang ng self leveling tamper mas ideal for home setups 4.Yung extraction mo was actually perfect for a 1:2 recipe within 25-30seconds start mo lang yung timing ng shot mo from the first drop of espresso sa iyong cup which took 7 seconds tinapos mo shot mo at 0:40 mark so around 30s na siya . Depende na sayo kung anong ratio and timing and ratio ng shot mo the standard modern espresso yang binigay ko in the end depende talaga sa preference mo. Usually longer shots and higher ratios (1:1.8) mas bitter and lalabas nutty flavors ng coffee. Shorter shots and lower ratios (1:2.25) more acidic and clear ang espresso na makukuha.

    hey man, nice stuff. it's a really cool hobby. remember tho, despite all the youtube shorts and james hoffman videos, as long as you enjoy the coffee you make, it doesn't need to look like that to be good. Keep experimenting and enjoying the process. Thats what it's all about

    nice setup my guy. I agree with GhostlySquare that is might be the randomness of how you are mixing the grinds. Personally I also find you might be overtamping a bit. Seemed like you went back a few times and pressed again and again. I sorta get the image in my head that each time you press, you might be pressing some existing harder clumps into what ends up being channels with the repeated pressure. Give it one and done.

    Some of your channelling issues might be down to how you are doing WDT try doing more consistent circular mixing movements starting right from the bottom of the basket and work your way up, the randomness with which you are poking around could be creating some channels. Might not be that but just a thought. That last shot looked pretty good though, how did it taste? All coffee channels to some extent its just the nature of it, some people aren't a fan of bottomless baskets because people tend to focus a lot on how the shot looks coming out rather than how it tastes, if it tastes great to you then you dont need to change anything ☺️☕ good luck!

    Nice video dude. Can i ask you what basket are you using? Is it the stock one? Does the dosing ring stick to it? Got the normcore dosing ring yesterday but it seems that the stock 18gr basket is not magnetic and it does not stick a bit.

      Thank you so much. Yup, that was the stock the Portafilter und Basket and the dosing ring stick to it. Maybe the magnet of your Dosing Ring is not strong enough? 🤔
