Yes, you can buy a very nice set of induction capable pan and pots without having to buy frying pans! Thank you, Duxtop!! We already had two very nice T-Fal 10" and 12" induction ready frying pans, plus a 3 quart covered sauté pan, so had no need for any more frying or sauté pans. It seems like 99% of the cookware sets on the market come with frying pans or a covered sauté pan. I wanted really high quality sauce pans and casserole pot, plus the steamer, so this set was exactly what I was looking for. All included pieces have a good heavy feel to them. The handles feel great and do not get overly hot - they can be used without potholders even after boiling the contents. The two stock/casserole pots are a very useful size, not too small, not too big, and the steamer insert which fits inside the largest pot seems very high quality and works great. We've already used the steamer several times. One small drawback I've found to the steamer is that the lid doesn't really sit securely on the insert. The lid just floats on top of the steam/water underneath the rim, and when the water really gets boiling underneath, it spits out water repeatedly from the junction between the lid and the insert. There's a vent hole in the lid of course, but that can't keep up with a full pot of boiling water (nor should it - you're trying to keep the steam in the pot to cook your vegetables!). Other than that quibble, all the pans and pots work great on our Electrolux induction range (EI30IF40LS), heating quickly, evenly, and quietly. All pieces are easily cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher. After the first couple uses, we noticed white residue (similar to hard water deposits - we do have hard water) on the interior of the pots and lids.Read more ›.
