outdoors for me
How long can you leave the 1911 cocked and locked. Or do you unload once home?
Here's an idea how to store, organize and display your firearms using Hold Up Displays. Check them out at holdupdisplays.com.
This Desert Eagle XIX is my first purchase of a large bore firearm. It does have a kick, but with proper training, the recoil is very manageable.
This is the first in a series, (I hope) of discussions on a topic of interest that has happened the previous week. I'll make these VLOGS on the way to work every Friday morning.
Definitely the ugliest extended mag
Here are a few comments and suggestions on ammo storage.
Mounting a red dot can be a confusing decision, especially for new shooters. Here, I'll give you my suggestion, though it is one of many suggestions regarding the mounting of a rifle sight. If you find this information helpful, consider subscribing to this channel for more information.
Super helpful. Thanks!!
You're welcome!
Hey nice video. Does the lower piece of the mag come off?
You can take it off, but it would defeat the purpose.
A little slow but matched my assembly speed. So PERFECT!!! Love the pointer too. Giving great descriptions throughout!
I am returning with new content and videos.
Very helpful thank you
You're welcome.
Still no retention screw. Do you know any holsters that are really similar, but have a retention screw?
Not in the Vedder line, at least that I can find. Urban Holsters I think, just recently came out with one though.
Thank u for this video, needed the info on extractor and the small slide release pin/spring.
What info are you looking for?
@@FloridaFirearms345 do you know where i can purchase the pin for the slide lock? I bought a used mustang and it didn't come with one on the gun.
I can't believe this discussion is even valid at this point. Once and for all, yes the dang thing is safe if cocked and locked! Can we move on please?
I never thought about it like that. But you are 💯% correct. I enjoyed the video. Very good information! 👍
Very good video! Good instructions!
Is the 39mm height absolute co witness?
Not sure. Not going to lie. I'd have to do some research.
Thank you so much. It's been 40 years since I took one of these apart and forgot how the barrel bushing was removed. Thanks so much!!! Great!
I carry a browning based firearm cocked and locked everyday, a Tokarev M57
I have the same gun but when I went to go shoot it. It wouldn’t shoot at all just puts the bullet in the chamber
Gunsmith time.
I think by all definitions it's a FIREARM, I think according to the media only the bad guys have weapons.
Really tight slide lock. Any thoughts. Tried oil but sometimes won’t lock open and when it does won’t release.
Love the gun. Love the all over high polish, stainless steel. Love the understated yet classy patterning on the slide. Love the big, solid, no compromises look and feel. Love the fit and finish. Hate the blue wood hand grips. WTF. Put some real wooden grips on it and it will be perfect.
There are many options out there when it comes to Red Dot Sights. Make sure you get the one that's right for you. Aimpoint was my choice of optic for my AR-15.
Different set up for specific rifles depending on the use for the rifle but typically a light and sling are staples and maybe a decent optic.
How you setup your AR is your decision. No one should tell you want you should, or should not have. How do you set your rifle up? Let us know below.
...and ready to rock!
Wow they are hard to find S&W 1911s especially the Performance Center cause they are more focused on their M&P line
Yes, I had to special order mine from another FFL.
Carrying your firearm "cocked and locked" shouldn't stress you out. Here's why.
I have one. Its an awesome 1911. Its also my edc. Easy to conceal with a cover garment.
My question. Do you carry it "cocked & locked"? I do.
I have problems with the hammer drill, it always stays up, what could it be?
Not sure without seeing it. You may want to take it to a gunsmith.
Good looking and shooting pistol. Thanks for the video.
This is a well made firearm and performs outstandingly.
I got a question my friend gun used. He got the hammer drops. When he racks the slide any idea why ?
Mechanical failure. Have a gunsmith look at it.
It's always nice to have a few extra rounds . . just in case.
The longer mags may print more, which is a deal-breaker for some folks. But still worth a look as far as spare magazines. My old cc was 7+1 and my spare was a 10. My current cc is 16+1 and I don't think I could get away with a larger mag in the well, but I'd definitely consider an extended magazine for a backup, anyway. A few ounces extra just means I'll burn more calories.
How does it run?
@@James-zc3rz Runs fine.
Thanks for the information.
You're welcome.
Rust, left un-attended can permanently damage your firearm. If the rust is surface only, you should be able to remove it without damaging the bluing on your gun.
The design of the holster is the curvature of the leather that occurs when worn provides additional pressure on the firearm, hence more retention when worn.
Mine has 0 retention
Help me Obi-Wan, I got my mp10mm last week, when I removed the slide to wipe it down and lube it, the yellow seer deactivator fell out, do I send it back or is it an easy fix or do I really need it. I have several M&P's but never used that lever, I always pulled the trigger to take down, any thoughts, is it a necessary item with regards to functionality
I have never had one fall out. I'd check with a gunsmith.
I am listening to this video while driving down the road and can't help but notice that you sound so much like Casey Kasem. I kept waiting for you to start counting down the top 40...
If you are legally armed, carry. Don't let this scenario happen to you. Do you carry all the time where you legally can? Leave your answer below.
What brings up the ejector bar that you pressed down to get the slide back on?
The magazine will bring it back to position.
I am sorry to hear about your mother's passing. My 91 year old mother died in 2017 and my sister was tasked with all the same things you are facing, minus the house burden. No need to apologize or excuse your absence, it is completely understandable. My prayers are with you and I hope you find comfort. See you around.

Outdoor because they allow rapid fire
Thanks for the information. They are a lot of nut case driver’s. Just watch out for them.
Good material and very much needed in today's climate. One week ago I was leaving church and driving down a two lane road that has a 45 mph limit. As always I was carrying and I have my FL CWP. I was about to merge over to an onramp to take to onto a major toll road when I saw a pair of headlights bearing down at me in which he was definitely doing 70+. He caught up to me on the onramp and was about one sheet of paper between our bumpers. It was absolutely ridiculous and I was infuriated with his harassment and dangerous, rude driving. As we went up the onramp he continued to "push" me very aggressively. I accelerated normally but I wanted so badly to stand up on my brakes as my emotions were running high, but I knew that would be wrong, cause an accident, and it would quickly escalate into a very bad situation. Plus, I didn't know who this guy or guys were so they could be armed, on drugs, mental illness or just itching to get onto trouble. I was just trying to make it home, safely. So at the top of the onramp we merged over- he was still on my tail - but I stayed in the right lane, he took the left, and then floored it like it was NASCAR. It is 70 mph limit and I watched him do 100+, hopping lanes, and ended up glued to another car in the left, aggressively pushing them. So I wasn't the only to get the treatment. After a few minutes I lost sight of him and I made it home safe and in one piece. Tailgating is my #1 pet peeve and I still struggle on someone does it to me....I never tailgate anyone because it is dangerous and rude as hell. Road rage is way too easy to engage in and I avoid it, especially when I am a responsible gun owner. It's just not worth dying for or going to prison for, not one bit. Thanks for your tips, we all need reminders! Merry Christmas 🎅
