Yeah, we love it here too!
Moriet Miketa here.

The Yakima Valley is a unique and diverse place. I’ve truly enjoyed living here and serving this community for over 20 years. Nestled between the Cascade Mountains to the west and the eastern flatlands, our Valley is perfectly situated to offer a thriving culture embracing all walks of life. From the young professionals and families newly discovering what Yakima has to offer, to those who have embraced it as home for many decades, seeing it through its ups and downs, it has something for everyone.
Sun 200+ days a year! Our climate creates the perfect environment for farmers, ranchers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. And all of this is surrounded by the beautiful green swaths of our orchards, hop farms and vineyards.
It’s my passion to work in Yakima, for Yakima and anyone who is tempted to head this way.

I miss my hometown it’s changed so much since I was a kid 😢❤
It is a very cute place for sure
That place woke?
Just stay away from union gap
I had a classmate in high school in 19something something who lived on Castlevale before it was punched through to 40th. The house is on the hill with all glass on one side and there is a full-on firepole from the entryway to the floor below. 😂 I hope it's still there. It's brilliant!
The house is still there. It’s very cool. The pole is gone now 😢. It has been an Airbnb most recently!
That neighborhood and the one on Yakima Ave from Franklin Park to the hospital are my two favorite areas of Yakima.
Me too!
What is the price range of the one storey house?
A smaller home around 1400 sq ft single level (there are a few) start around $425k Depending on the amount of updates, a rambler would start in the high $500k and could go up to $700+ again depending on updates, pool, etc
So glad! I hope the video gave you a hint about the area !
Drove in the area yesterday. Very nice
😂😂😂😂downtown yakima is the biggest TURD ever 😂😂😂😂😂this video is so full of shit we are sharing cause it's HILARIOUS. YES I live here in yaks and no NOBODY goes to capital theater
Will be a student in march!
Congratulations!! It is an exceptional school, you will love it. And most importantly graduate with a solid opportunity to get a great job quickly.
Moving here in january. Thank you for creating this!
Please be sure to reach out if I can help with your transition.
Social Security only get 1200 a month so $1,000 a month or $1,100 a month for rent leaves me $100 for food and bills yeah right
I get it. It’s expensive .
Those are my favorite places to hangout.
I love that!
Yakima used to be a nice place to live. It's really gone downhill.
The local economy is changing, without question. All the layoffs with Del Monte and the Yakima School district has made a big impact on our high unemployment. New companies coming to our community help create jobs outside of Ag, which is truly healthy for our economy. Our local economy will continue to shift and change. I recommend visiting the Chooseyakima website for all the latest industry updates in Yakima valley
How does the new development and new jobs balance out against businesses that have closed and workers laid off?
Great video Moriet, do you know what the HOA fees are at Apple Tree?
Let me find out. I believe each neighborhood maybe slightly different. They also just installed a second pool and sports court, they may have been a capital improvement fee to make that addition happen. I will report back !
Update! $120 to $155. Depending on neighborhood. The gated areas are a little higher.
@@livinginyakima Thank you for finding out, I am wanting to move to Moscow Idaho. I wish they had something like that there, but I would have to go to the suburbs of Boise to get a neighborhood like that if I want to live in that state.
@@jimsmith9717 I have had a couple of clients move to Meridian and they love it!
Don't believe a word of this garbage. Yakima is a corrupt cesspool, and law enforcement is working overtime while their hands are tied due to poor city and state leadership and ridiculous laws that favor criminals. The sheer amount of drugs, gangs, violent crime, and homelessness is absolutely mindblowing. The picture this video paints is only "real" in the minds of the rich and entitled that are isolated from the real world around them. Those that live in gated communities or high on the hills overlooking Yakima, far away from the suffering of the average people trying to make it through each day.
Sheriff in the Bronco is crazy. Ill be in Yakima next week, cant wait to move there
My personal and humble opinion is that Yakima Valley will become a very very very influential county in the USA and World 🌎. Especially in Yakima’s ability to attract tourists from all over the world. Just saying 🤓😉🤓
Thanks for the knowledge. Trying to move to Yakima in October. Trying to get any info on the city is hit or miss. And almost every article or forum is dated, like really dated. Your channel always pops up with new information. Sheriff, if you see this I could use a job doing anything 😂. I’ll mop floors at this point. That proactive team sounds like a beautiful program. Veteran ✌🏻
Where does the water source come from; is there an aquifer deep underground that supplies all of Yakima Valley and the rest of the surrounding areas?
Why is Yakima’s population growing?
Actually rents are up to about $1,500+ wich requires 3x the rent for a salary. Yep you need to make $3,500 a month or you cant afford to house! Now i own my home , and moved to Yakima for my arthritis and the cost of living. And with only taxes to pay for my home its still month to month. Impossible to afford upkeep or repair. I like it here but see why the homeless situation is what it is! And nation wide its only getting worse .
Yakima sucks! Trust me.
I grew up in Yakima from 2nd grade through high school at Eisenhower High. Would I still fit into the community at an active, healthy and retired 72 yrs of age. Please advise.
Is there a growing number of out of staters relocating to West Yakima Valley; and the rest of the area? I see houses on at least one acre of land; and that would make the area look attractive to the people who want to live there!
Can’t wait to start looking for homes in yakima
I'm originally from Yakima and moved before things got really bad. Man, I could go for a "Big Minor" burger right now. ;-D
when did things get really bad?
@@troystose5121 based on what I heard from the news, it was in the early to mid eighties that drugs and gangs were prevalent.
@@TairnKAis there any prostitution in Yakima?
@@moa8121 I presume so, due to, in the past (70s), my fronds and I would drive by Front St and 1st Ave, scarring off the "Johns".
@@moa8121yes all along first street
All of this right next to one of the highest crime cities Yakima
Well done. 😊😊
I went to Highland High school in 1976-1978, to say it was small was finding a place smaller to compare it to,,which didn’t exist,
I enjoyed watching your video and I am now a new subscriber. Thank God that your video came up in my UA-cam feed. I recently moved from California and started my own drywall and painting company here.
Yakima is a dumpster fire and downtown is a shithole filled with gangbangers and junkies. These people are desperate liars. I laughed my butt off watching this.
Those two’ women are trying to encourage the Californian people viewing this video to relocate to the West Yakima Valley!
love the purple satin on you.its so great.
I’d clap 💯
Love your vids, and love Yakima! Happy to see you focusing on the great things Yakima has to offer :)
You didnt film the homeless and crackheads
Or the gangmembers
Or the corrupt cops who beat and starve patriots in their corrupt jail. Missed a lot of the Yakima experience here.
So so many It's crazy
Its nazi central. Cartel central. Corruption central.
No it’s not
The fuck it's not@@AD-ln2xu
good. if housing prices drop, the rest of us can live.
If housing drops, then the companies buy up available land driving up the cost of living.
Thanks for sharing!
That A Nice House! I Never Been to Yakima and Washington State Before.
I like that you are taking this, most people are not thinking about this
F jay inlsee
Your ass must be jealous of all the shit that comes out of your mouth🥴
Thats why Ron's the goat
Yay a new form of hatred. Woohoo. Cant trust women now.
Thank you so many memories here!
promo sm 🏃
Hope neighborhood good.
