Welcome to Microcosm, FTC Team 4100, based in Rome, Georgia! We’re passionate about robotics and share videos on FTC, our team’s journey, and our latest robot designs. We’re proud to have qualified for the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship in both 2015 and 2024, and we've earned a spot at the Georgia State Championship every year since our founding in 2010.

Just added a hang to our robot and have more practice with our new robot. We will be making some more videos on how we handle camera vision and our autonomous in the future. how does teleop double points work?
all points scored in auto (minus parking) are counted again at the start of teleop
What are y’all using the worm gear for? I can’t tell from the animation. Also, are yall just using one GoBilda torque servo for your horizontal slides?
It's used for our hang system, still in progress. And yeah just one servo
@ do yall plan on doing a level three hang? And if so how, I haven’t figured it out yet😅

Thank you so much for noticing this! As a matter of fact, we have already changed our signs about 2 weeks ago. We try to keep our models and posts up to date as much as possible, but this one is about a month old.

What do you use for your Auto! Road runner?
Yes, we currently use Roadrunner 1.0; however, we're thinking of switching to Pedro Pathing again as we used that last year.

@@SpectreDevbecause it previous seasons, the preload meant something different. Placing a yellow pixel on the right spot gave you 20 points, while otherwise you didn’t. Here, scoring a sample, preload or not, have the same point value. That’s why is specimen + sample now

Hey guys we are doing a similiar idea where we use a wheel for intake and drop it off in a box however our linear slide is quite wobbly how do you secure it?
Our linear slide is a little wobbly tbh, but we have it mounted on top of a goBilda uchannel.

Indeed, still there were some mess ups. We have gotten 3 mosaics and 2 set lines by ourself in practice before.

Very Good, some questions I have are, does your team use roadrunner? if yes, are y'all utilizing RR version 0.5 or the RR version 1.0? And also about the camera, the algorithm is the algorithm it's Vuforia, EasyOpenCV, or any others perhaps?
We are using road runner and easy open cv and custom tensor flow stuff we will be sharing a video going over our robot design soon

Hi! Our team noticed that in the official game manual, the human player's hands cannot go below the vertical perimeter of the playing field when placing the pixels in the taped-off area. In your match, it looks as though your human player placed the pixels directly on the mat. Is this allowed?
Yes. The hand can only travel into the taped off area, however when a robot is in the taped off area during the match when a hand is in the vertical plane of the field at all, it is a penalty.
is there any way to adjust how far the drone goes other than the angle of the launcher?
You can adjust he paper airplane. Depending on how you fold the wings you can make the plane dive early.
Great robot! However, Manual 2 says you only get the 10pt line bonus 1 time.

Alright, so i figured out how to use machine learning, but now my issue is fov. Our camera (logitech 270) does not fit all three elements in the frame. Does your camera have this issue? if so howd u fix it? Thank you btw for responding to my other comment :)
@AlexAsh25 Our camera only sees 2 positions. With this we have bounding boxes of middle and left. If there is nothing in either in defaults to the right side since we know if we can’t see it, the element is on the right. Hope that helps.

i feel llke that's actually my point, not having a dc motor does not imply not having any motor as there are other types of motors. I consider servos to be motors

Can you guys show to make a robot to move to a certain cube when it sees it but there will be two lines and the cube can be placed on either one but I want it to go to the line the cube is on, using color sensors. Do you guys use block or java
We use Java. For detection though we use a camera and have bounding boxes to detect where the team sensor is. I am confused what you meant by cube but we will be uploading soon an auto video

Did you guys use ftc machine learning? if you did, how did you put the models into an opmode to make the robot move?
We don’t typically use ftc machine learning. One of our programmers does, I’ll ask.
Machine Learning for object recognition, or for moving the robot? I am (trying to) use Machine learning to move the robot in autonomous so I do not have to program something that if bumped would mess up the whole autonomous. If you want I can help you out.
I know Scott’s Bots are doing something like that with machine learning. You can use dead wheels to make it so numbing into an object won’t ruin it.
