I thought I heard him about 2PM or so. Pretty loud. Must have been a heavy train.

I would very much like to photograph the train going over the Cahaba River trestle between Irondale and Margaret. How much notice do you get before a train comes through?? Minutes?? Hours? Days?

So how do you know when the trains are coming?? Do you just live really close to that crossing and hear them coming. I live about 1/2 mile from those tracks closer to Sanie Road. When it comes through at night it will wake me up but I never know when it will be. I would love to know the secret so I could get some better photos of the ATN trains. What’s the secret??
