Hi! Thanks so much for the comment. What an interesting question hahah. The one time I've felt like this was after my Civil Procedure exam during my 1L year. I prepared extremely hard for the exam and after taking it was confident that I did well. My grade eventually did confirm that and I was thrilled. But of course, I feel like those are rare moments haha since I've also had the exact opposite to me as well!

@@michellegarr I know the feeling; I've been there a couple of times. In my first semester, I was sure that I missed every issue under the sun on my Contracts exam, and I even entertained thoughts that I'd either be put on probation or be told to leave. Instead, I ended up with my first ever A in law school. YAY!!! In my second year, I was blessed to score an A in Federal Income Tax after I had been a practicing accountant for ten years, so I'm certainly proud of that. In my third year, I had the hardest exam ever in Bankruptcy. All of my classmates were smart, brilliant people...and THEY walked out of that exam shaking their heads; that's how brutal it was. Even with that, I got blessed with a B. My friends in that class all graduated, so they made it out alive as well (LOL). Most times, I was cautiously optimistic. But in my second year was the one time I KNEW that I killed it: I had taken a four-hour exam in Wills, Trusts, and Estates, and I walked out of the exam CONVINCED that was the easiest exam I had ever taken in law school, and that I hit a grand slam. My friends were equally convinced that I was insane.🤣 It turns out that I got a B+, which was the second highest grade in the class. My professor was kind enough to mention that fact when he wrote a recommendation letter for me a couple of years later. Rumor had it that anywhere from a quarter to a third of the class ended up with a D (holy cow!!!). Happily, I've been blessed to do well at the JD and LLM levels over the years, but I will always cherish the Wills, Trusts & Estates grade from Spring 1997 as my finest hour in law school.

Hi Eddie! Apologies for the delayed response! So glad to hear you are in the process of applying for law school... how exciting!! I absolutely love LLS. If my videos don't show that enough, can't really say what does hahah. It's been an amazing 3 years and I truly have enjoyed every minute. My biggest advice for your application is to really do research on the school and see what programs/clinics/specializations stand out to you and make Loyola the right choice to start your legal journey. Hi! thanks so much for the comment and for subscribing- it means so much! As for your question- the program I did was a US law school taking us to Germany. We studied and spoke in English, but most if not all the German law students also knew and spoke English. I'm not too familiar whether or not the firms there hire English speaking students- I'm sure they do, but that is something you would have to look into since I'm sure those requirements would be firm specific! Hope this helps- cheers!

Law school definitely is hard and difficult and I totally agree- cold calling/socratic method is kind of scary but like you said, you get used to it and becomes easier! I guess for me, there are a bunch of factors which motivate me to pursue a law degree and eventually become a lawyer, but the main one is the beauty of advocacy. I think there is something truly unique and powerful in the ability to utilize words and effective communication to convey someone's narrative to individuals you've never crossed paths with, such as a jury, or even a judge and use your skills as an advocate to see positive social change being made! What drives you to become a lawyer/pursue law? I'd love to hear from you! :)

​@michellegarr8267 Going to law school was not my plan. I studied in a bible school of the great doctrines of the church wanted to become a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost world. But for some reason, I was caught by a wicked and wild wind of events that blew down the doors and let me in into the world of law. Now, here I am studying the law. So that the Law may dwell in me like a spring of justice to those who are oppressed and impoverished.
