Speak English | Master Your Pronunciation | Guided Shadowing Method 🎤✨
💡 What is Shadowing?
It’s a powerful technique where you repeat and mimic native speakers in real time, improving your accent, rhythm, and confidence!
🎯 Why You’ll Love It:
✅ Perfect for all levels
✅ Boosts listening AND speaking skills
✅ Easy to practice anywhere
Steps:
1️⃣ 🎧 Listen: Find an audio version of the text and listen carefully.
2️⃣ 🗣️ Repeat: Start repeating what you hear, trying to match the speaker's tone and rhythm.
3️⃣ 🔄 Practice: Go over the passage multiple times for better fluency.
4️⃣ 🎤 Record Yourself: Use a microphone to record your shadowing.
5️⃣ 📈 Improve: Listen to your recording and make changes as needed.
Here are some idioms in the text:
1. Hit the road: To begin a journey or trip, often without planning.
2. In the driver’s seat: Being in control of a situation.
3. In uncharted waters: In a new or unfamiliar situation.
4. Go off the beaten track: To do something different or explore new places.
5. Step out of your comfort zone: To try new things or face challenges that feel uncomfortable.
If any of these idioms are new to you, write them in the comments to help you remember them.

Hi Jenn, I definitely tasted pasta with sea urchins. It is a speciality of Sardinia cousine. Now it's forbidden to grab them in many part of Sardinia. Anyway they said that the right season to grab them are "r" months. For instance apRil.
@@alessioscagliarini9308 Thanks for sharing your experience and the fun fact! What did it taste like? So, if you can only harvest them in months with an “R,” does that mean no urchin harvesting from May to August?
Thanks for this video Jenn, it's more easy to understand your story after the lesson. 🙏🏼 Aka Sakura ❤

For those of you interested in taking the Myers & Briggs personality test: www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test
Thank you darling!! ❤ I did the test in my native language to be sure of understanding the questions well. I'm an executive and I think it makes sense 😂 ! I need to work on developing my creativity !🎨🌟🧠💡
@ I totally understand why you wanted to take the test in your native language! In the Myers-Briggs categories, “The Executive” is the ESTJ personality type. It stands for Extraverted, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging. If you want to go down a rabbit hole (Alice in Wonderland reference!), check out posts about ESTJs on Pinterest or UA-cam. I’m an ENFP!
@@englishwithjenn123 Of course, I'll do! Lovely expression " go down a rabbit hole" ❤️🐰. Thank you, as always 🥰

Hi Jenn, actually i am pro censorship by the government just to protect their citizens from negative influences. on the other hand i know very well that abuse of power can happen easily
Great teacher ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! 😃
Dialect
No, check the description. (TLDR: Dialect, accent and pronunciation all have to do with speaking a language, while fluency means being good at it.)
@Funtime2UwUthanks 😊

Hi Jenn, there is a nice game called SLAPZI. Have you ever heard about it? i also love watching friends. I am also used to follow 6 minute english
Here are some information about the number of English instruction hours in the Italian public school system. Elementary School - Ages 6-7: Typically, students have around 1-2 hours of English per week. - Ages 8-10: Usually, this increases to about 3 hours per week. Middle School - Ages 11-13: Students generally receive around 3-4 hours of English per week. High School - Ages 14-19 : The number of hours can vary, but it's common for students to have about 3-4 hours of English per week, depending on the type of high school.
@@Mikela_24 Thank you so much for sharing this! 🙏🏼 Italians place much greater emphasis on learning a foreign language compared to Americans. That said, in the States, it really depends on whether you attend a private or public school.
@@Mikela_24 The average American student studies a foreign language for 2-4 years, mostly in middle and high school. • Elementary School (Ages 5-10): Rarely offered; most students get no formal instruction. • Middle School (Ages 11-13): Sometimes available as an elective, with 1-2 years of instruction if offered. • High School (Ages 14-18): Typically required for at least 2 years, with some students taking 3-4 years for college or personal interest.
❤❤❤❤❤❤ Always waiting for you ❤❤❤❤❤ thanks a lot ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I always appreciate your support!
I was surprised because I thought in many Latin based language countries in Europe focused more on speaking compared to Japan as countries were so close. However they were taught grammar a lot, too. I really think kids nowadays have much better opportunity to learn foreign languages, which is so good!
@@菊地仁子-t6x I have two thoughts about this: European kids, in general, seem to have more incentive to learn a foreign European language because they are close to so many countries where they can practice it. Also, I completely agree that kids today have it easier-social media, Netflix, and video calls make learning fun and interactive.
The best teacher ❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@KhoulaKhaled You are kind. 🙏🏼
I would like to share the meaning of "cleaning out " because I would have said simply "cleaning". "Cleaning out" in this context means that the person removed and sorted through the contents of their grandma's house, likely to declutter, organize, and possibly dispose of or donate items. It's a suitable use of the phrase, especially when referring to clearing out a space after a significant event, like the passing of a loved one.
@@Mikela_24 Exactly! Thank you for bringing up this point! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Great teacher ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hi Jenn, I am sorry but yesterday i had to leave the class before the end. Anyhow, regarding the question you asked me about letting the things go of in my closet, to be honest, I am not very good at it. My daughters love to grab my clothes, bags, shoes, pieces of jewelry which I preserved in good condition, and I am happy to share them 😊
@@lorena_2402 Thanks for watching the rest of the live! 🙏🏼 It’s wonderful to be able to share with our kiddies 😊😊😊 Wishing you a lovely day!
Alessio, your question about “curated by” or “curated in” can be answered as follows: • “The Mona Lisa is curated by the Louvre.” This emphasizes the Louvre as the institution responsible for organizing and managing the Mona Lisa’s preservation, display, and care. • “The Mona Lisa is curated in the Louvre.” This focuses on the location where the Mona Lisa is housed, displayed, and curated within the museum. Thank you for the questions that make me think (and even break a sweat)! 😂
🤣🤣 Thank you Jenn for your explanation
I can declutter my things easily , but it's very difficult to let go of my late mother's things that involve sentimental emotion. Speaking of today's "story," I feel very old because I was waken up in midnight and saw the live broadcast of landing on the moon live on white &black TV.
