brother you ended up buying the wrong grip module. the m18 goes with the (carry) version grips not the compact hence why the magazine doesn’t fit flush.

This would suck at the range since you need to uncase with the muzzle pointing down range. Turn the muzzle or the foam. Plus if you accidentally leave one loaded it's not pointing at you when you take it out.

That spring is sharp. i had to use gloves. Eye protection is a good idea too.

What size of wrench u use to take out the plate screws I have mine and I can’t find one that fits and I don’t want to strip the screws

So I just added this slide on a CA Compliant Shield Plus. I put the Holosun 507 Green on it. I did NOT need the adapter place and it cowitnesses well. You do need to buy screws. The will be 6-32 by 1/2 inch. Just FYI for the community.

Is this good for long storage?

I hate the loaded indicator klitt on the CA compliant slide.

I grabbed one for my G19X & it didn't do anything really, just dropped my pull from 6lbs to 5lb long gritty & funky pull. I even had a Master Trigger Spring Kit, 3lb Black Yikes Connector, 4lb striker spring, etc. I did polish my plunger & install a lighter plunger spring BUT! When I bought the $179 Complete SW4 GatorMouth Cut Dagger Upper? Omg! My Trigger pull went to a very short 2.7-3lbs! Nice forced short reset, etc. Extremely Smooth & short to a pronounced wall! Now that the Glock Performance trigger is out, I'll run it when I have my stock upper on since it's a single stage. But, that OW Precision TAC Trigger works great with that Gen 3 Upper!

Get you a plasti dip rattle can (your choice of color) and empty the entire can on the foam. It will give it more strength, the lines from the pluck foam go away and depending on your color of choice will make it look bad ass as well. Just a tip

Did you pluck all the way down? Or leave some excess so they stay vertical?

Ya.. i know the issue...cali sucks...

I purchased a sig p365 2 year's ago and it's far inferior to my shield. Mine has the plus 2 mag guts in the 7 round magazine, talon grip, apex trigger kit and night sights. Once you install the apex trigger kit into the shield it absolutely takes it to a different level. Even in 2023 it's still the best micro pistol trigger that you can own. I thought the canik mc9 was going to be the pistol that beats my shield but unfortunately it's having reliability issues. I'm hoping that Smith and Wesson releases a shield 3.0 with a trigger similar to the apex but I have a feeling we're going to be waiting a while. I highly recommend adding the plus 2 magguts to the 7 round magazine! It gives you enough room for your pinky while keeping it short.

Dang, I had to build up and mill my own extra slide, but I have an extra slide with a 507X optic.

I was trying to do some upgrades on my S&W Shield 1.0 and had the most trouble removing the rear/front iron sights that I considered just buying another slide that have the optics cut. But then I realized that for $200 more, I could buy the S&W Equalizer which has newer and updated features including higher capacity magazines than the Shield. So I went that route instead.

I almost went this route. I just could not justify spending $300+, unfortunately. Your project turned out good! I went the Dove Adaptive Mounting Solutions route.
