After all it's great service and history, like all ships it is sad to see her come to an end.

Very sad to see , She was built by Cochrane Shipbuilders in Selby North Yorkshire, I think she was the largest vessel the yard had ever built mainly because Selby is an inland tidal river Port with Ship or boats being launched sideways into the River Ouse, I lived in Selby at the time and would often walk along the far Bank to watch her being built and of course her launch which was a big day for Selby folk I remember it well .... I have over the years travelled on her many time on Scottish Holidays..... A lovely little ship with a lot of character

Great video. The frigate is almost the same colour as the sky! Tomorrow is Waverley's final day on the Thames before sailing back up to the Clyde again.
