I'm a conservative independent voter. As a New Yorker, long accustomed to hearing stories of Trump's generosity toward all races, I've been a Trump supporter since day one. I have gay friends and relatives, including a nephew who is transgender. We may disagree at times, but we love and respect each other and nothing will ever change that.

If you think trump hates the lgbtq community it's because you're too lazy to do your own research. He held an lgbtq flag on stage at the 2016 rnc. First republican presidential candidate in history to do it. That was 8 years ago and apparently you still didn't know that. I came to the U.S. to pursue my master’s degree and voted for Trump for several reasons. Coming from a socialist country, I experienced firsthand the lack of freedom, government control over our lives, and the uncertainty of a future dictated by activists. I chose the U.S. because it offers freedom of speech, a free-market economy, and the opportunity to pursue dreams without limits. However, I feel the country is moving away from these values. Immigration: While the borders are flooded with undocumented immigrants and pathways to citizenship are being proposed, millions of high-skilled workers on visas like H1B, along with legal asylum seekers, face decades-long waits for permanent residency. These immigrants contribute to the economy and pay taxes, yet they are sidelined. Instead of prioritizing those who came illegally, resources should address existing issues, like homelessness. Freedom of Speech & Political Retaliation: Workplaces are becoming overly politically correct, where alternative views are suppressed. Political dissent is increasingly met with censorship. In my native socialist country, this kind of media control stifled freedom, and I fear similar patterns emerging here. I was fortunate to build a life of freedom in the U.S., but I cannot afford to lose it-for myself and future generations. I don’t care who people sleep with or marry - it’s a personal matter, and neither the government nor any institution should have ever been involved. I don’t believe Trump, or anyone who truly values personal freedom would oppose that principle. I respect your choice and I don't think you need to worry about for being who you are and your personal freedom. Take care.

As a Republican I would LOVE for a woman to be president, but not just because she is female. For me Harrison was not a good candidate. Margaret Thatcher was a very strong leader. I felt like Trump would win. The noise on the news never made me feel otherwise. I also felt like the news bias also helped Trump.

I am a life long democrat who voted Trump and republicans for the first time this year. I hate no one. I just want to ensure our country stays safe, American citizens have access to jobs, health care, and homes. I want to ensure my kids are not pushed into confusion over gender ideology at the age of 5-8-10-14 when their minds are no where able to process that concept. I want to ensure my daughter is safe on her field hockey and lacrosse fields from trans-girls who have a proven different anatomy and strength to her. What a person decided to do with their body after 18 is their right. I will never infringe on their freedom to live their life the way they want. As for the abortion debate in this election, I am a pretty pro-choice person with a few exception (specifically no abortions on viable unborn babies) and for me I am ok with states having the right to decided what their abortion laws will be. I am ok losing the pro-choice debate to ensure my daughter and me have safe spaces and sports. I am ok putting my loving daughter before the death of unwanted unborn child. I am ok turning to women who have argued for reproductive rights and sexual freedom and telling this girls and women and men well maybe we should start being more sexually responsible. Thats my stance currently on abortion access.

Remember the backlash against Trans is not a backlash against you. It is the backlash against the crazy activists promoting nonsense in schools and such. Caitlynn Jenner is respected and hopefully becomes Governor of CA. Personally, I believe trans ppl deserve all their rights just like everyone else, but I don't think Trans ppl can be called simply 'man' or woman. I have no problem if the word Trans is used as the all-encompassing term.

I'm a Trump supporter. My Aunt was gay back in the 60's and 70's when you didn't speak of such things at the dinner table. Looking back, this poor woman had to live with this secret bottled up. I miss her everyday. I wish she was alive so I could help her hold her flag.

Trump is not the leader of the anti radical progressive movement. He is merely the current designated 'champion'. The current spokesperson for the more (and less) clued-up masses. Other people, from disillusioned "liberals" to Pure conservatives, are doing the hard work - debunking and countering the radical far-left, and their 'flying monkey' NPC supporters. It's a huge error to assume the only ones challenging the radical far-left are the radical far-right (although the media lead us to believe that. Personally I'm sick of liberal centrist conservative people being labelled as far-right, and therefore dangerous.

I always considered myself a centrist. I did my own research and voted for who I thought would do best for our country as a whole. When DJT first ran in 2016 I voted for him because I couldn’t vote for Hillary. I have to be honest, I was scared of what would happen when he won. Fast forward to today and I am fully into the MAGA movement. It’s not about political party, it’s about being a proud American. It’s putting America first and making our country the best it can and its people the best they can be. It’s not about what or who you are, it never was. We are not racist, homophobic, or any other thing the MSM has called us. We really want to unify the people of our country for our country. I want my teenage daughters to have a chance to do whatever they want without fear and being safe while doing it. You can be MAGA and not affiliate with a political party. On the 24 hour news cycle, they have to have content. Some of that is making a huge ordeal about everything. If everything is succinct & completed data based, (who creates the data? Thats another can of worms) that doesn't cover a whole 24 hours. There are plenty of events that never get reported... they jump from thing to thing... whichever thing riles people up is suddenly the only thing in the world...

You sound exactly like me about a year ago. Waking up and seeing through the veil is so refreshing. And once you feel the hate coming from the Left simply for having an independent thought, it all starts to make sense. But more importantly, we all need to start seeing ourselves as individual and not subscribe to a certain group/side.
