Is this new Outlander BETTER than a Grizzly?
Just a few of my thoughts on the new 2024 Outlander 700 XMR compared to my 2021 Grizzly 700.
There’s a lot more that could be said obviously but here’s a few of the major points.

This is a fairly intimidating job and quite complicated but hopefully this video helps guide the process so you can get this job done for cheap. Mine is a 2008 5.7 CrewMax 4x4 SR5 but this will be the same kind of process on all second gen Tundra's.

07-13 Toyota Tundra Radiator Replacement
Well that was a ride
I've got 27 Blackwater evaluation on mine and 27 is 27 and I do not even put in 4 w drive in less its over 6 inches (Great tires ) had mine for 5 years with no problems with a 5 foot 6 v plow (Boss ) great plow as well . Good luck .
Get backwaters and 27 are 27 I have had mine for 5 years and in 6 inches of snow I hardly got to use 4 w drive with a boss 5ft 6 v plow . Good luck .
Brother, is it normal that when I take out the ABS sensor it comes out a little wet with something similar to oil?
Where did you get the kit from?
First thing I’d do if it was -20 is find me a warmer place to call home 😂 that’s some cold weather
Have 2 2024's, (850 and 1000r) and they are both cold blooded bit*hes. They start getting finicky around 50 degrees. (f) They start and stall and start and stall and low idle and run rough then clear up after they get a little heat into them. Lowest temp to date was around 30. I wasn't expecting this.
This is not the best way. You had torchs correct. Next time heat the bearing up while the axle is inverted and the bearing slides right off and to the ground. Oven back the new bearing at 475 for one hour and it will slide right into place while holding it with a pair of channel locks. ua-cam.com/users/shortsbqKmvhbh1eY?si=krfcU2mB_8jfYajC
Efi you cannot give it any throttle starting it. When pressing the start button let the fuel pump prime its self all the way.
@@Ryanm1565 my 2021 Grizzly if you gave it a little extra throttle when cranking it would start better at -20 or colder. The can am won’t crank at all when the throttle is pushed, hey it’s raw video. I could have edited it out.
I wonder how power wise it would compare to a king quad 750 . I’m probably looking at getting a new quad in a year or two and can’t decide between the king quad, grizzly or can am 700 . I’m looking for long term ownership because i regret selling my 2 year 2018 850xt that i bought new . I plan to keep the next one for a while and worry alittle bit about the can am 700 long term
What are you doing here its 2024??? Try it again in a 3-4 years and record and try beside honda old 15 years youll see a big differ
I don’t think most can am owners keep their atv’s for that long . They trade them off every couple years or so for the next new thing
I've got a 2017 570 Outlander with original battery in 2024 that still starts without hesitation at -20 to -30C. If you maintain these bikes they are built for Canadian weather. We also have a 450L Outlander that spent its first few years in the arctic and works great.
Yep just started my max xt 700 2024 can am outlander. Been in the cold 3 days coved and it started up nice
Chico Razor How does your '24 700 xt max compare with any other outlander you had ?? handling, trails, yard work etc.
Hey bro I've been having the same issue can i test it for voltage and if so how much should it have?
I think your that kind of guy that what ever brand you buy its the best
Every test so far rates the CanAm the best and at a better price, it’s a no brainer.
@@firstoutlanderevery test conducted by who ? Can Am ?
@@NorthwoodsNomad Every testing magazine or group rate the Can Am better. Dirt Wheels, ATV magazine, Dirt Trax and on and on.
And then my 2021 cf has trouble starting at -1°
mine went -25c in 2 turns lol.
My 6x6 2023 mod. started no problem last winter at -23, but I had the charger on once in a while just to keep battery top notch throughout the winter while it was that cold
What's the kit part number. My Toyota dealership ship here is saying they don't offer the kit anymore.
Where did you get the tuner?
@@jaykopf7266 no tuner, that’s the heated hand warmer controller
From this impression video it seems like the XT model would of been a better fit for your needs, bigger storage built into the front and the low gear on the XMR is meant more for mudding same with the radiator on top. I'm going for the 2025 700 XT myself.
What is the overall width with that set up? I am contemplating getting an HD7 Hunting, but want to use 4x110 rims that I already have so I need adapters , but need to keep it less than 50 inches due to the gates on trails here in Colorado. Thanks
What size are the intimidator tires you’re running? Thanks
What size are the tires 26.5 or 28?
@@treyfox5263 28x10-14
Great videos! Looking at one now. There is red and camo available. Do you find the red scratches easy? Also how do you like the plow? Last I had was an Arctic Cat poly and wasn’t great. Thanks from Manitoba
Thanks for showing how to turn off the lights. I didn’t know how😂
What kind of back storage compartment is that ?
Your crasey
Just buy the whole axle assembly with bearing already installed if you're going to ruin the backing plate anyway
What brand tires and times?
How much did you save vs just buying a new axle?
Please use the override button when in reverse it’ll stop it sounding like that
You worried about reliability at all compared to the grizzly ?
What size are the intimidator tires you’re running? Thanks
What size are the intimidator tires you’re running? Thanks
Yea fuel injector wont do anything. Glad they made it so it won't start when try that.
I've got an Outlander 850 xmr 2024. Picked it up 2 months ago. No complaints so far.
Thank you for this saved me!!! Been trying to diagnose my b7 passat for days. Intermittant key not in range with multiple keys
I have 1300 km on my 2023 XMR I love this machine I've sunk it wheelie it I beat the crap out of it I'd say it's a great machine best bang for the buck right now
I’d say there’s a few main reasons I chose Grizzly over this machine. For one I don’t mud ride I trail ride. I like the can am. Don’t get me wrong. The combined braking is a down side. One rear caliper, over all prefer the way the grizzly rides, “reliability” that is proven. Headlight pod. But honestly if this can am g3 proves to be reliable. At a Lower price than the grizzly it will be hard to beat. Also don’t like all the u-joints on the can am and prefer the grizzly handlebar controls
I just got past the break in period with my new HD7 Pro hunting Edition and I love it! I was comparing it to the grizz when shopping around. You just get so much more with can am at a lower cost with these new models. No regrets at all.
Hello friend, how long ago did you buy the ATV and how many hours have you used it?
after you go through water check your fluids for water Some are reporting front diff sub trans getting water in them first time in the water
I was comparing the Grizzly with the XMR when I was looking. Besides reliability, which hasn't been proven yet on the gen3 frame, the XMR beats it in every aspect.
Reliability? Nothing wrong with the Grizzly over all but the dipstick and air filter issues are unacceptable. Those are major flaws that should be corrected.
@@mudpuppy318 yeah, when I was ready to get a new machine everyone told me you can't go wrong with the Grizzly and their reliability, 10 year belt warranty yada yada... but as I said, the xmr was my choice, as it seems to knock it out the park compared to the grizzly as a all round machine. Luckily I haven't had the sway bar and engine mount issues yet....
As they get older you’ll wish you had the grizzly. Grease the sealing surface of the air filter, problem solved. Thousands of miles and I’ve never even thought about my dipstick popping out. It’s in there pretty solid. If you get a new machine every 5 years then yes I’m sure any atv will treat you well.
My grizzly has 9k miles with only oil changes, air filters, battery and tires replaced. It’s 20 years old and still on original belt.
@@northerntoyota7584Your proof that the Can Am won’t be reliable, top GNCC pro’s been racing it under the most grueling conditions with not one break down.
Thats the kind onfo that helps. Thanks, safe travels 🤘
The mayhem is a mud tire , its not made to ride smoothly,it doesn't like sand or hill climbs,it digs deep and throws mud clauds just like it was designed to do,,,put dot street tires on and try to ride mud you wont have anything good to say about them either, but they will preform great on pavement
It’s like the rest of us😂😂😂😂 Who wants to wake up in minus 20. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🥃🥃🥃
CN you tell me how to take cover off without removing wheel?
Close to ny?
I hate that the shifter is on the right side. Not sure why they would do that
I got a 2011 rhino and it will start In -20 here in Alberta no problem. Even -30. It’s been outside since new and I use it almost daily. Had no problems with my grizzly either. Got a 2024 rubicon too now but I got a feeling it won’t start as good.
