Phineas And Ferb Movie Raises Important Question You Must Ask Yourself!
Today's topic is about what to do when it seems that you have yet to reap what you've sown -
When you do good, and the immediate outcome is not desirable.
To be clear:
This lesson is not to say that "anytime you do good, it will only lead to backlash and an undesirable outcome". - For that is certainly not true.
Rather:
Sometimes when you do good, you are hated for it. Instead of receiving thanks and recognition, you receive that which you do not deserve...
Don't let this deter you. Don't let this discourage you.
The good you do is never in vain. The seed you planted will grow in one way or another. And you've done your part. And that is something to be happy about.
Main Lesson From Today's Video:
When you do receive backlash, hate, or even persecution for doing good, let that be an encouragement to you! For it means that you are truly effective (otherwise no one would care to criticize you).
Relevant verses and quotes:
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
- James 1:2-4
"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
- Matthew 5:10 (NIV)
"God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs."
- Matthew 5:10 (NLT)
"Fire is the test of gold; adversity, of strong men".
- Seneca
"Misfortune is virtue's opportunity."
- Seneca

SpongeBob Episode Raises Important Question You Must Ask Yourself! ("Greasy Buffoons")

For starters: I don't know why I said "a 'pile' of grease" rather than "a 'puddle' of grease" . So let's just ignore that. That said: Today's video deals with the topic of your character, and the pressure you may sometimes feel to sacrifice it for the sake of "getting ahead" (in some way). Today's discussion is a bit more convoluted (and very important). But I (nonetheless) hope to make myself clear in this message I wish to portray. Main Lesson From Today's Video: Don't Be A Pushover, But Don't Be A Bully Either. Be Strong, But Not Rude. And Be Kind, But Not Weak. An analogy that comes to mind is that of a bowling lane. There's an option to put up the gutter guards, so that (if ...

While I don't fully agree with everything in the video as a person who has religious trauma (and harbors a strong dislike for Jordan Peterson on issues outside of general self-improvement advice), I still think you do a great job at articulating the message about what it means to be kind to yourself and to self-advocate and I agree with your broader message. And, I want to be clear that I don't think the Christian elements you use in this video dampen the overall effectiveness of your message, as understanding the world through religion just serves as one other method for letting it sink in and how to apply it to daily life. Also, absolutely not trying to shove this down your throat, just pointing out similarities from things I *have* recently studied that I think people may find interesting: The idea that being kind to yourself extends to kindness to others and therefore the improvement of the world has a lot of overlap with Buddhist thought, specifically the idea of interconnectedness; everything you are and what you do is all related and informs each other, and will influence the world beyond death, which I believe strongly, (though I don't identify as Buddhist.) If our parents influence us, then their parents sure did and so on to long deceased ancestors, and all of those influences carry onto us and then we become the next influencers for current and future humans. Even Spongebob's character affects real people and will continue to as long as people influenced by him keep interacting with the world, not just for the sea creatures of Bikini Bottom. In addition, your reminder that the process of being better and learning how to balance kindness with assertiveness is all trial and error is so admirable in a world full of people who are ready to attack and abandon those who make mistakes and are still working on themselves, like sharks to blood. I have to thank you for not being scared of or demonizing imperfection, as a perfectionist myself, and a former eternal damnation avoider. All this to say this is a good video lmao

Thank you, first of all. Not just for the kind words, but your thoughtfulness (and the time put into forming your ideas and writing them here). I truly do appreciate it. I do also want to apologize for any trauma you now have, especially on account of actions taken by those that claim to represent God! (Because when people act contrary to how The Bible says they ought, the last thing they represent is God). I do like and agree with that Buddhist idea, actually (to an extent at least): Boiled down, it sound like: Your actions have a ripple effect, and you set the example. Therefor make it a good one! And I certainly agree. Though I'm not a Buddhist, it's important to acknowledge when something is true (even if it's from a source you wouldn't normally or ever associate with). I can tell by your comment that you have a good heart. I'm sorry again for those that have tried to break it. I'm not here to preach to you. But since I truly do care about you, I suppose I'll leave you with this: Don't close yourself off from God on account of ill treatment from people. That treatment was perpetrated by people, not God. Thank you again. :)

This is exactly why I do not like the Bikini Bottomites on the show. Not only because they're hypocritical and bloodthirsty morons, but it's episodes like this makes their Selfishness, Manipulation, Stupidity, Hypocrispy, and/or Laziness can really reach to a tipping point on the show where you can't help but sit, watch, and despise them for how loathesome their characters are, even if they have a background role or a major role. Even worse, sometimes not getting the punishment they deserved in the end or middle of the episode and ends up as a Karma Houdini thing.

Looking back, there was a moral from the classic sitcom Full House that always seemed very wise, which was that's it's important to find a balance. This felt more than applicable in this situation as SpongeBob and others would be happiest if he were to find a balance between being to strict and too lax.

It's going to some impoverished countries for blood transfusions to help fight against bloodsucking fauna in areas impoverished because we took them for granted for our own advancement. North Africa, South Africa, even some areas of egypt, arabia (think areas outside the taj mahaal), and iran (Which are lands next to each other). But... despite it all... I still beat myself up. Wondering if I'm good enough.

Thank you, and God bless you for your act of kindness! It's all to easy to beat ourselves up. For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Instead of getting down on yourself and trying to be and wondering if you're "good enough" - Rest confidently in the fact that if you know Christ, then there is no more need to try to be good enough. God alone is the only One good enough to save us and lead us into the full life we are meant to live. (And if you don't know Christ, there's no better time to receive salvation than now). Thank you for sharing. I pray you're encouraged by this. No more pondering about "good enough". God is good enough. Your part is just to do your best! :)

just some real advice.. You die every day, the person tomorrow is not the person you are today., If you want to change your current situation, you need to change yourself , allow pieces to die in order to reach your goals.. There is no good nor evil. An action preceived as truly evil, Might as wel be a good one when viewed from different perspective - in a different time scale. You throw in religion and mention stoicism. christianity goes against many foundational principles of stoicism, you can redcon the whole forgive thy neighbor into something stoic. But, just to state it simply: you cant really keep it to yourself when there is a god figure. Anyway, good luck with the channel, please keep it light on the 2000+ year old books, Thats like wearing Nike T-shirts just for the logo. Much more insightfull things have been discovered about the human condition since then. (and dont think I am some kind of atheist with a agenda ,

    • @StevenRussell1111
      @StevenRussell1111 3 дні тому

For starters: I appreciate your thoughts, and the time put into formulating them and writing them. :) That said: I agree with your first sentiment: To change your situation (your life, even) you have to change yourself. Allow your former self to remain in the past as you now walk into your new life. However: Absolute evil and absolute good certainly exists. Morality is not relative. Do acknowledge that I CAN even say this because God exists. Apart from a moral standard outside of ourselves, no one could even make a truth claim (let alone call anything good or evil). I understand there are stoic principles that would contradict Christianity. To be clear, I am a Christian. I'm not a "stoic". I will reference stoic principles when they are essentially just reiterations of Biblical ones (which is very common). In terms of "keep it light on the 2000+ year old books"... No. To say in any way that time passing devalues (or draws into question the validity of) an idea, principle, event, or truth is ill-founded and simply incorrect. If I chop down a tree, that's what happened. If two-thousand years pass, it doesn't change what happened. Now if your argument was "here are reasons why I think this principle or idea is wrong" (and it had nothing to do with simply the passage of time) then fair enough. At any rate: Thank you again for the comment.

As a disclaimer bikini bottom is an analogy to how real life society can be selfish and manipulative and in essence evil. SpongeBob is just too nice to a fault and him getting the abrasive side was an easy means to changing his character not his personality and his grandmother is the same kind of person. Personality is the patterns of one's behavior and thinking while character is the mental and moral qualities of a person. To understand this your person is in the name personality while your character is in your kind of story which usually pertains morals to follow.

by the way your note on flattery working in order to get something is completely on the money. the first emperor of Rome used primarily flattery (and Egyptian stereotypes) gain Roman support in a war against Marc Antony and Egypt, which would in turn cause the end of the Roman republic and bring about the beginning of the Roman empire. not super relevant to your advice and story but it is a reminder to use flattery for good and not for selfish purposes because it is a most effective tool for persuading people.

This is very relevant! (And insightful). Thank you for your thoughts. I absolutely agree: Flattery is persuasive, but the damage it can do (even to your own heart) is immense. Therefor true kindness and selfless action is far superior - and still persuasive! Thank you again for your insight.

Nice Video on "Will You like you?'' Very underrated channel and also try using more "enthusiastic-ness" (idek if that's a word) for these videos so people will think of you as more of an Chill vibe, and write on a script and read it instead of having to think of what you say next. Anyways Hope you reach 1K 😁❤

A very interesting video. I have not seen the previous parts of this series. I was however was very surprised that you brought up the diner scene and not the [spoiler] killer's motive for comitting the acts he do throughout the movie. That would be in my opinion a better example of bitterness overcoming a person to the point of insanity. Whilst the diner scene is more so an example of petty bitterness. Something that will not bring any good but isn't on the same scale as the killer. But it was still a very interesting video, I'll subscribe and check out the other parts.

Good point! I guess I generally try to point out the examples that are easily missed or just less noticeable. - That and the fact that (like you said) petty bitterness is more relatable, in general. All that said, perhaps I'll add that as an example when I mesh all the lessons into one video! Thank you for watching, and leaving your thoughts. I do hope you enjoy the rest of the series!

Reportedly Tyler did tell the people at the music video shoot that this was based on a story about a time he had in college where he had a really bad anxiety attack This album is gonna be crazy and every song will have music video
