The Massive Whomping Edit continues as I shave a full 2 minutes from "Stand By Me." I also constructed a coda out of what should have been the coda to begin with and got rid of a very dull 2nd verse. Love this song, honestly.

The Oasis "Be Here Now" MASSIVE WHOMPING EDIT continues, with "Magic Pie," a terrific song that's at least 2 minutes too long and is mostly coda. I've got it down to 4:30, which is a good length for an epic ballad like this, and at least a minute of that is fade.

I've always wanted to do a full edit of the "Be Here Now" album that edits all the songs down to reasonable length not FIVE minutes, not SEVEN minutes, but a good ol' three minute pop song. Cut everything down to a snappy, tight single-length (and maybe add a wee bit of bass while taking out the brick walling). Maybe you can't do that with EVERY song, but the rockers? Oh yeah. Hey, folks! I've added three? I think? more scenes to my animated London After Midnight reconstruction. It's amazing how much shorter it is/will be even compared to the stills version, but it's very much "just based on the descriptions" with no extra shots added as filler.

Remixed the Syd Barrett song "Octopus", otherwise known as "Clowns and Jugglers," in the style of Pink Floyd, adding some great Nick Mason drums, upping the bass, combining elements from the earlier version (on Opel) and adding some keyboards of my own. I do quite like how it turned out!

There's a hit single buried under Syd's over-loud, out of tune guitar that sabotages the whole thing. I love Syd so much but a clever mixer shoulda dropped that track immeasurably. Anyway, here's a remix.

A few months ago I posted an earlier version of it, but the mix was PLAGUED by a low rumbling hum on the vocal track that made it so bass heavy as to be unlistenable. I ran a de-hummer on it (that sounds terrible) and EQed everything else, then mixed it to MONO and made sure on all types of speakers that it sounded halfway decent this time.
