Bronwyn's Business Booster Nov 2024 _ESG
In this video I introduce the concept of Environmental. Social, and Governance Responsibilities in business. I also pose questions about the future of ESG responsibilities in the wake of the USA 2024 election result, where all three were markedly absent.

I have been ignored occasionally since I was young. I have been privileged since I was young as well. So it all depends on the person, their mood that day or the way you carry yourself again that day. No one gets attention all the time accept those who enthusiastically look for it.

Wait till she gets the look a man does when he isn't picking up the check...even when it's his birthday and his parents are taking him to a celebration dinner. Every freaking year...I'm 36 I have a career and plenty of money. My parents just want to give me something in the form of a free meal. It makes them feel good which is why I allow it. Still I leave the tip like 30 percent.

As a business owner, money-wise, the best customers are usually older people (35+ above) which is why I treat them better. There's no fuss, drama or extra demands and they also pay up right away. But then again, it depends on what type of business you're into.

It is possible to fade in and out of invisibility mode but I'm sure a base level of general attractive qualities doesnt hurt either .

Has a women here ,it doesn't bother me that I am invisible, because I always have been since I was in my youth. I think it's mostly harder on people who relyed on their looks when they were younger, I could be wrong.

As a man, I think your comment is spot on. Those with the type of looks that opened more than just doors, often find it harder to adjust later in life when their looks fade. And not just women, but men, too. But it seems the UA-camniverse is inhabited by former models who bleat about things like at 40 having half the options / dates they had at 20 (but in reality probably a lot less than half). Worse are those that at 50 or 60 somehow feel they have currency but somehow feel it’s the fault of others for not noticing this. Having a few bouts of “invisibility” when young, does have its upside. It’s good preparation for later in life.

Lol welcome to every day as a man since you are born lol we deal and make our own way and while invisible. I guess when we get seen, it’s for what we have made and have become. By the way….don’t bother with make up unless you medically require it. It’s not gonna help no offense intended really. I know men and am a man myself, trust me and go gracefully.

Sry but u are not the “best customers”! The best customer is a young woman/man that comes everyday! Not just once in a while! And I do own a coffee shop and my staff is told to treat everyone equally but the younger gen is just more giving and friendlier!

She thought the young girl at the cosmetic counter was fake, dismissive, and rude? ---Just imagine being any man seeking a date when so many women are like this cosmetic clerk! We won't even try any more, because getting rejected by some fake, entitled, rude bimbo is no fun at all, and we've learned that lesson over and over.

This happens every day of the week to men everywhere. My usual is the waitress who won't look at me or speak to me as she's taking my order. I don't tip them, and if they ask why I tell them they're rude. Never just walk. Tell their boss or their boss's boss. That gets instant results because responsible managers know you can always spend your money elsewhere. Rude and disrespectful people are everywhere, you can't avoid interacting with them unfortunately. It's different when your spending your money. You shouldn't expect your ass kissed, but insist on respect or feel free to bad mouth them without guilt.

TAKE NOTE Pretty Young Things If you feel objectified, ENJOY IT, coz in the blink of an eye, you'll be fat and forty. THAT SAID - The point that Bronwyn makes has surprised me. There used to be such a thing as good service, manners and respect. And from a straight-up commercial sense, older people (male and female) probably have a higher disposable income.

1st: You are NOT invisible, older men notice! Unfortunately, older women, ignore completely, most older men- but, guess what(?), a lotta younger women don't, knowing : (a), he may have aready-'roll; of cash, to spend on her; (b) she has been treated badly by a lotta young guys, who behaved like the jerks many of them-not the majority, but, ......; (c) younger women know, a lotta older guys, are flattered that she'll even be seen with him- as the women his age ignore him! I believe you, I've seen it myself, but, I've also seen many (not most!) older women, being part of a 'crowd', of females, 'assessing' some poor-devil, leaving him the 'worse-for-wear', as they rather obviously & inconsiderately, 'appraised' his 'worth', as a 'catch'! Or, as 'Linus' said to 'Charlie Brown', when he saw his bestest-pal, straggling-in, after female verbal & mental-abuse, uttered, " The cats(females) been using you as a ceremonial scratching post again, Charlie Brown"? As 'Chuck' mumbled incoherently and nodded, 'Linus', put his arm around his 'boy', and walked him home for 'R&R', in TRUE-friendship! Bottom-line 'sweetness', is this, : " As has been said here & elsewhere, "NOW, you know how so MANY of us feel"! Sorry; all-the-best!

Sorry about your luck, I have had that happen plenty of times. Maybe people should pay attention when they hire bimbos for the service industry. As a man I am invisible until I snarl then I am dangerous and the police are called. Yep being invisible is a no win situation, welcome to the club, but I bet you were not invisible when you were younger and lots of people were invisible to you, don’t have much sympathy because you propagated this lack of respect.

Yes, when as a chubby early 60s man, I had a sales girl look past me and smile. I turned around wondering what this object of beauty had that I most certainly didn’t. It was a brick wall. I lost out to a brick wall !! That’s invisibility !! Interestingly, when I lost a lot of weight in my late 60s it seemed the more I lost the more visible I got. Funny about that.

Happens to men even more; but we don't run to the media or make Tik Tok videos. Women complain about everything. You are not in your 20's. After 30 the attention drops off exponentially. Stop complaining and accept that you have hit the wall.
