Laundry is always a chore. But in Costa Rica, we got in touch with our ancestors and did laundry old school style. We felt like Little House on the Prairie. Or maybe "Little House on the Pacific."

There are small because people in the past were smaller and with few needs., These are very old houses. You should see how small my house from 1890 is . But is adorable .

Your apartment is not that small. Some American apartments are small. Look up micro/small apartments on youtube and you will find there are alot of small apartment in north america.

Would you recommend a single young woman to teach by herself there, or would it be unsafe to live on her own? Would really appreciate the insight before I apply.
Personally, I would have felt comfortable living there alone. I never got any weird vibes or feelings. Anytime I was out walking by myself I was never harassed. And there are a lot of tourists in this area, so you never really have to walk down any streets without anyone else around. BUT - I would still suggest to do more research, so you can be sure to feel comfortable. Ask a few other women about their experiences too! :)
Im from New Zealand and I find it safer here than there. You maybe pick pocketed but most unlikely you will be hurt. They are more civilised... in a way
