SHIMLA SUMMER FESTIVAL 2024 [15th - 18th] June | UPDATE!
The four-day Shimla International Summer Festival will be held from June 15 to 18. The highlight of the festival will be a performance by ‘Nati King’ Kuldeep Sharma on the inaugural day.
The festival will gives a glimpse into the state’s culture, folk music and dance. On June 16, renowned playback singer Saaj Bhatt will regale the audience.
On june 17, the main attraction on this day will be the performance of famous playback singer Mahalakshmi Iyer.
On the concluding day, the main attraction on this day will be the performance of famous Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi.
The main objective of this international summer festival of Shimla is to promote the culture of the state and to entertain the people.
*HOW TO REACH SHIMLA*
By Air:
The nearest airport from Shimla is situated at Jubbarhatti, 23 kms from the city which has limited functioning depending upon the seasonal/weather conditions.
By Train:
Shimla is connected to Kalka (96 kms) on Meter Gauge and it takes around 6 Hrs from KALKA to reach SHIMLA. There are 3-4 trains daily from Kalka to Shimla and vice-versa. There are 103 tunnels on the route with longest being 1.2 K.M. long.
By Bus:
Shimla is connected by road to all the major cities. It is 344 km from Delhi. You can book HRTC bus online to reach Shimla from Delhi. This includes HRTC's Himsuta AC Volvo, Him Gaurav and Ordinary Bus.
