strange movement issues in default ezquake
Переглядів 2266 років тому
Getting hung on walls and overall movement has always felt slower than nquake. especially when circle/strafe jumping or swiveling to walk faster. seems a lot of strafe jumps are almost harder in default ezquake. none of the physics commands were changed other than the one mentioned to fix the wall clipping

Caught in storm Lake Erie (part 2)
ALWAYS BEST TO WAIT UNTIL THE SHIT HITS THE FAN BEFORE PACKING IT IN. ESPECIALLY ON LAKE ERIE. WELL DONE GENTLEMAN. <> 😂 🤣 😂 <>
A rain storm? That's it? We were caught in a thunderstorn off Barcelona, NY with lightning strikes hitting the water 50 to 100 yds. away, all around us. We couldn't get in so continued to fish. We boxed out,(15) walleyes. When the storm decided to give us a break, we made a beeline back to the shore. As we broke free of the storm, the sun was shining and the skies were blue as we approached the launch. I've never been in one since, nor will I ever be, again. God saved our butts that day...
Pan, Pan, Pan...
⁉️No toilet onboard⁉️
Was ther no finale cause they sank? I know the skipper has a lot of patience as his back seat skipper would have stowed his opinion before we got underway. I hate that bad enough on land...
Ridiculous!
Why he hand lining outrigger boards back in... he couldn't crank the reel on mast... what a cluster on back deck for 10 min...
absolute clown,
These guys shouldn't have been out there! Obviously no one paid attention to weather report that day.
Been on Erie in storms. NOT a nice place.
Top notch mariners ! Top notch !
Oh no it's raining, the boats gonna get wet.
Deteriorating conditions, not one wearing a life vest! Oh well, they would be no loss, just sorry for Coastguard having to pick up the pieces after stupid shit like this.
Always enjoyed the useless wipers on boat windshields.
Way too small a boat for that body of water.
They did fine. Some inexperience, but they put life vests on, updated the coast guard as to their position, and took it slow and steady on the way in. It's easy to forget that when you're in no visibility conditions without radar, it can be pretty darn scary. Had they been in the same wind and sea conditions on a sunny day, they probably wouldn't have that nervous. Overall they did fine. Thanks for sharing the video.
I grew up on the Atlantic NW coast of Ireland and saw lots of storms but by far the worst I’ve ever witnessed were in the Great Lakes region , the thunder and lightning storms were epic , with hail and high winds sometimes spawning tornadoes or a wall of high wind coming off the lake that could flatten a forest , Lake Erie is a shallow lake and can be rougher then any ocean , scary places in stormy conditions.
Storms on those lakes are no joke. I don’t get why they didn’t batten down & head in sooner.
Imagine chartering a fishing trip and you get this clown that waits you into a storm he’s afraid to be in. Nice.
My mom was dating this one guy who owned a used car dealership, and auto shop. Sometimes he’d own, and sell boats, and dirt bikes he invested in. Anyway, we got caught in a Lake Superior storm when I was 8. It wasn’t pretty.
“The Great Lakes have more shipwrecks per square mile than any other body of water in the world.”- from The National Museum of the Great Lakes
I've been watching the eastern basin of L. Erie for the last 38 years from my tackle repair shop, in Hamburg N.Y. Absolutely nothing surprises me about this lake, the winds and the weather this area produces. My shop's about 200 yds. away from the lake, on a rise at least 70 ft up to Rt. 5. When the wind picks up and starts to 'huff' up to 45 to 60 mph. outta the NNW I'll get wave spray on my front windows. The last windstorm we had, ripped the siding right off the building...
Crocodile hunting in Lake Erie?
very inexperienced boat captain, he has no business taking people out on the water
I live on the shores of northern lake huron. This is all part of the fame we call fishing the great lakes
This boat was fine in that. I wonder what kind of boat?
Are they sober?
It's a lake! Try "The Race" off Fisher's Island NY in a squall at peak flow. 20' boat and lived to tell the tale. In the 80s there was no warning.
Wow.
That's the worst wiper blade I ever seen for that surface area
Are we their yet😂
No urgency until the whitecaps grew to 3’ plus. They should have kicked everything into panic mode at 1st sight of the swirling clouds and recognizing this as a potential threat to life!
Right after the Capt tells me to put on life jackets is when I start shittin myself cause he usually wont tell you that unless hes very worried !!!!
Are they serious! This nothing .Come on over to east coast 35 miles offshore. We are heading out in this to go fishing lol
You guys had AMPLE opportunity to get those lines in. How f'ing stupid.
The one guy was a bit dramatic. Had to leave his wife worried .
In scenarios like that, you should put your life vests on just in case. I understand why people might not because they feel safe, but the reality is that in storms, you never know what might be out there. Water spouts, larger waves, etc. Before you know it, you could be in the water.
Are you really wasting our time with this embarrassing video? I guess the boat operator need not worry about getting knockout or boat capsizing. Ok for the other guys to wear but not you. And the lake roughness is nothing. Ok so now you’re on UA-cam.🤣
This would be the moment a captain would be sweating bullets over any maintenance that was put off!
Absolutely, when ever I'm in strong winds and waves I'm listening to every beat of the motor praying that it won't falter, and I'm really anal on all maintenance. Also as soon as it looks like a storm put your life jacket on, if for example the motor stops and you get side on in the waves, you can be upside down and in the water in a heartbeat and without even a life jacket that was right by you.
Was at San Diego Point Loma. In 12 ft aluminum , with 3 other people, wasn't worried until flat top came by, almost swamped us
Props to the 3 year old camera man
Keep your day job kid.
This ratards problem was deciding where HE was going to go rather than where his safest route was.
Yeah a storm but wouldn’t think it was bad waves. Common sense helps
Glad to see you finally closed the batch
Life jackets?
I grew up on Lake Erie and Sandusky Bay and I've piloted a few boats. I avoided this kind of scenario because I kept an eye on the western sky. When it changed color, it was time to pull anchor and head in. Because going from the Lake to the Bay through that narrow inlet by Cedar Point was nasty at certain times when the current coming from between Marblehead and the islands was running strong and the west wind blowing could be a challenge. I got off the lake sooner than most to avoid getting stacked up going into the Bay. The Captain in this video should have gotten off the Lake sooner
Me and my brother got caught in a storm out on Lake Erie in my little 14 footer scared the shit out of both of us. We saw the storm coming just like in this video but we stayed out too long because we were busting some huge smallies. Luckily we weren’t that far from shore. We were outside the Presque Isle channel in the lake. Saw bigger faster boats heading for the bay but we ignored it until we finally realized we needed to get the hell off the lake. A Coast Guard boat came out of the bay and followed us in. We were young and dumb and didn’t realize how dangerous the lake could be.
Former Rhode Islander with hundreds of hours offshore boating💯 not sure what they're waiting for❓❓ or why the bow hatch is open❓❓ 8-10' rollers on the atlantic is nothing compared to 10" chop on the lakes🚩🚩
How's dumb and dumber!
