heavy 156gr bullets vs light 100gr bullets

Im calling it the hourglass effect because before the convergence, one round has an advantage and after the convergence, the other takes the lead with respect to wind. Thinking about a field of fire as a shape can help dissect zones where you might choose one round over another. This bullet comparison can be done for any rounds, but it shows a distinct patterns. Due to the large weight and velo...

Does swapping rifle chassis in the field ruin everything?
Переглядів 2,4 тис.10 місяців тому
What if you had to take your cation out of the chassis in the field? What if you wanted to change chassis because , who knows why, but you needed to.. Frank and I decided to take a quick look to get an idea how we felt about it. Try yourself and decide if its something you would do or not do. Does how you grab your bag matter
Переглядів 2,7 тис.10 місяців тому
The question was how grabbing a rear bag can alter point of impact. This is just a preliminary look at a few options that folks use, but the takeaway is to encourage you to go shoot some paper and log the effects of your use and see if its acceptable for you.

    For those wondering about the buttpad height adjustment, its not quick adjust but you can unscrew the pad and raise and lower or cant it to your desired position by changing the position of the screw holes (there's a bunch drilled out which are covered by the pad)

    I hope that 2Vets and RRR will eventually replace the turning leg locks with Black Diamond or Benro style flip locks. Stronger hold, faster and don't break. A little R&D ( ripoff and duplicate ) would be great.

    change wind direction to 3 o'clock (180 degrees) and its way off. only works if the wind is in the direction when you do the math. (3:00 vs 9:00)

    Honestly, I think the "variation" you found switching between the different chassis systems could easily be explained by the expected random variation in 3-shout groups.

    We’re all the groups @ 500 yards?

    • @michaelhill6451
      @michaelhill6451 10 місяців тому

      I'm pretty sure he was saying they shot a couple of rounds at 500 yards then came out to this shooting location to check zero. I believe he shot these groups at 100 yards. I mean, those are good groups even at 100 yards and the overlays about MIL to inch conversions use 100 yards.

  • @Blackhorseveteran
    @Blackhorseveteran 10 місяців тому

    I would say it could improve your shot groups...my reasoning is because one of the stocks will meld better with the action, and create better barrel harmonics...
