@@TSKALEX876given how the damage looks more violent than say Vera (C4) too, honestly I’m fully convinced this is the actual northernmost C5 landfall recorded barely edging out Camille It would set the record by far for lowest pressure non-C5 landfall, even with say Ida 45 and Katrina which doesn’t seem likely statistically even with EWRC. it’s also lower pressure than the 916mb 135kt jtwc reading from nanmadol for perspective, I think 140 is reasonable Granted storm structures so nothing is 100 but it’s probably like 95% imo

Rita's 700 hPa height supports 876 hPa at the very most, not 875 hPa. Flight level winds were around 189 kts, which would correlate to surface winds of 210 mph. Edit: nvm, those readings weren't taken at peak intensity.

Mike did hold a T8.0 on Dvorak for 24 hours. Also, AH77 WPR is not accurate.

In my opinion, Wilma was the 2nd most intense Atlantic storm on record, with a pressure of 880 mbar, and Gilbert was 875 mbar, the 4th (?) most intense tropical cyclone on record. Edit: HOLY CRAP WHY DO I HAVE SO MANY REPLIES
