@@olagokeadewusi8235 Thanks for the kind words! 🤗
i got a tuba
Is it possible to play using dentures?
Yes!
This should work for learning the saxophone as well correct? Except for the f-sharp
Great video
Thanks. I have just ordered a chalumeau and I think this will be very useful to start with. PS. ”Nasty horses” are the ones that have been misstreated. And there are lots of them in horse riding schools, sadly. Horses are not nasty by nature.
Fantastic! you are a genius! I have spent 2 days not even getting a slight sound oit of this thing! After your instruction...I made noise woohoo! thank you! love your teaching style too! you are fun!
Hi Chris, GLad to be of help to you. RIght now I'm having a bunch of videos professionally done, which are based on the presentations I do at conferences. They've been a lot of help to teachers, so happy to pass them along. Keep on playing! ::)
I'm getting my tuba tommorow. Thank you!
Thanks! I just bought an instrument with reed mouthpiece and couldn't get any sound out of it. After many different UA-cam video's this one got me to get sound out of it!
Great to hear!. Enjoy!
Well said. I agree with you 100%. I'm heading into my 29th year and I also find that slowing own the pace improves so much!
So good to hear other people catching on too! 29 years? Congrats!
😂🤣😂😂
You give me hope that I can learn alto sax in time to march it this season
Excellent video thank you
I have decided not to touch the instrument but your vedio gave me hope that I can play it.thanks sir
You're welcome!
Glad to help!
Thank you so much - This video is exactly what I needed to get started! Recommended!
I'm doing what you say. Not a single sound comes out. Nada. Nothing. Silence.
Hi Steve. Not sure what you mean when you say no sound comes out. Unless I can somehow see what you're doing, hard to put in the fix that you'll need.
thanks
Another good one. I'm combining the best to make it happen.
thx
Thank you for the lesson! I’m a percussionist and have recently taken an interest into certain woodwind instruments like the Duduk! Also congratulations on all those Festival Disney trophies!
Did this guy really tell us about his sister's first ride? I'm away to buy a horse. BYE 👎👎
Hey, glad it could help you. Enjoy!
Thank you
5:39 Talk about keeping a steady note:)
Cool
Thank you I'm getting a tuba soon for band 😅 gonna be kinda complicated since I can't take it on the bus
Hey can u see if u have a tuba for me because I really need one b cause mine is broken and I can’t afford another one

Perhaps because you IP-banned *SH* and *DV* from Deadly Stream…
Man I play horn 😅
i play trombone
buying a yamaha venova and never play any woodwind before. Your video helps me!
buying a yamaha venova and never play any woodwind before. Your video helps me!
Happy to help you Annisa!
Here's a flashback: 7th grade, band class. Never took band before and it's the first day. There's a table of mouthpieces from all the instruments my school offered. I had just one minute to try out each piece and then choose which instrument to learn. When I came to reeds no one helped me the way you did. I couldn't play it so I wasn't allowed to learn it. I took up the flute instead after the trumpet didn't work for me. I wish I knew about this before taking the class, otherwise I would've been playing saxophone instead
Happy to help CVerse! It's an impossible scenario to know everything about the national instruments as you begin to teach, and there's a definite multiple year leaning curve. It's not overwhelming and completely normal. Keep continuously learning and you will get there. Heck, it took me probably 10 years to just feel I was finally on solid ground!
I play the tuba and I suck at it
cool good for you
Madison salyers if it sucks can I have your tuba
Being a *VorrnyVorrn* and all, we live and learn, Madison!
He came to my school today during beginner band practice here in Vancouver (Coquitlam) everyone was fangirling
Many thanks
You're welcome Keith. I hope this was of good use to you and speeds up the learning curve! Kevin
Thank you...more trumpet videos would be helpful! My son enjoyed it
You're welcome Anita. Happy to help out. See YamahaE2e.com for further info!
Know how to play french horn and trying to learn to play clarinet just for fun! Its hard but fun at the same time
Hi Waffleum. Hope this video was able to help you! Kevin
It really did thank you so much!
You're welcome Waffleum!
I'm getting my tuba tomorrow (I'm gonna do band) and this helped *ALOT* thank you 😆
Kai From Exo your NAME
I know you commented two months ago, but talking to your band director can be the best thing you ever do even while your new. Getting addition help/private lessons (if you can afford them) is a very good idea. Even if you just do private lesson s for your first few months and make the most out it, you’ll be much better off in the long run. But, to start off I’d suggest staying after school and asking your band director for help. I went from being a percussion nerd to a decent tuba player in just a few months from help with my band director. Also, yes these online tutorials aren’t bad, one on one interaction is much better so someone can fix your mistakes as you make them.
Thank you sir now I now the basics
You're welcome! Happy to help. See yamahae2e.com for further info. Yamaha fully sponsors the costs with me coming to give a workshop to your class or band, right at your school!
You are using a euphonium because that instrument you're holding has a conical bore, unlike a baritone, which has a cylindrical bore.
@809c Pucs Not always. Generally, euphoniums do have four valves, and baritones have three, but there do exist euphoniums that have three valves (which are mostly used by beginners), and there are baritones with a fourth valve (which is mostly restricted to professional instruments). Mr. Incredible was correct when he pointed out that the man here in this video is using a euphonium, not a baritone, since it is obviously conical. In the United States and a lot of other countries, the "baritone" is often a hybrid instrument that contains qualities of both instruments (they have sort of a half-conical, half-cylindrical bore). However, in countries where the brass band remains popular (such as England), the baritone and euphonium hardly resemble each other at all. In fact, a typical British baritone appears more like an alto horn than a low brass instrument. However, like I said earlier, a typical baritone in the United States is almost like a crossbreed of the euphonium and baritone. The instrument the man is using in this video is indeed a euphonium, but in the U.S. people tend to classify such instruments almost exclusively under the blanket term of "baritone".
@@harvestedvoltage4324 There is more: A euphonium is a tuba and a baritone is a cornet. You can tell by the sounds. A guy called TruncatedTriangle told me. You should talk to him, and you will find out more.
There is a lot of talking, but wow! I can play flute, piano, and ocarina(I'm pretty bad at guitar, but heard I have natural talent), but I just couldn't figure how to make the noise come from a clarinet.
Hi Muffin. Yes, it does take a bit of talking to walk you through, but hopefully this helped you get started on the right foot! Kevin
Thanks Kevin. I found these flute videos helpful
You're welcome Jimmy! Happy to help. For more info, also see YamahaE2E.com . Thanks for helping get the word out!
