Doctor Gate & Pennine Way
MTB ride following a route on Outdooractive Ap ' Doctors Gate & Pennine Way. Much of the first section up from Reaps farm to Harrop Moss was unrideable, pushing and lifting bikes over rocks, gullies and peat bogs. From Bleaklow Head down is challenging with a very long descent via Doctors Gate. ( Sadly the GoPro battery died before the end)

Hayfield,Short Circular ride

MTB ride from Hayfield, Peak District. Up via Kinder road to the Shooting Lodge then across the moor to Little Hayfield. Then a climb up the lane to Matley Moor Farm to join the Pennine Bridleway back to Lantern Pike for a fast downhill to Birch Vale. Then up the Moorland Rd to descend beside the stone wall back to Hayfield.
Derbyshire Bridge, Ladder Hill and Goyt Valley

MTB ride starting from Derbyshire Bridge near Buxton following the rough Old Buxton rd to Burbidge then across via the golf course to climb up the old Roman rd towards Coombs then the bridleways around Ladder Hill to return via the Goyt valley, Map and .gpx file are available on Outdooractive Ap "Derbyshire Bridge, Ladder Hill and Goyt Valley"

MTB ride for route and .gpx see Outdooractive Ap 'Flash, Peak District MBUK 321', note we started the ride from the lay-by on Edge Top road above Hollinscough instead of Flash Bar ( more parking space). The tech decent on Swan Rake to Hollinsclough was scheduled to re-open October 2023 it is now a wheelchair friendly path.

Starting at Friden car park and following the High Peak trail until we turn off on to trail 548 to Biggin. Then via a mix or roads and bridleways to Hartington with return by Heathcote and back up to the High Peak Trail

Yes I use a free Ap called Outdooractive ( works on all platforms) and the route is there with exactly the same name as the vid. Another way to reach using the Ap is to select the Map of the area, ( in this case Great Longstone and Eyam) the filter as Cycling/ Mountain bike and click on the Show Content button at the top of the map, this brings up all the MTB routes in that view area
Really good. Proper riding on real mountain bikes, no moped nonsense.

Sorry not on Strava but if you give me your mobile no I can forward you a link to my Outdooractive page. Alternatively if you just select map and zoom in to Wye Dale car park just off A6 opposite Topley Quarry entrance use the show content button with the Mountain bike filter selected. Two icons appear and the one on the car park is this route.
Thanks. It was a bit damp and slippery in places. That route works well in the opposite direction with some great downhills, but tough climbing both ways. Enjoy your riding.

The climbs aren’t too bad on that route and if you want to do the downhills then there’s no alternative.
Outstanding fun! You can't beat a cross-country ride when it's crisp and clear - but some of those climbs seemed a bit severe!
All my rides are available as .gpx using the free Ap Outdooractive this is available on all platforms ( iPhone, Microsoft etc) I use the free cycle maps on a desktop to plot the routes and then sync to my phone to use outdoors

Great video, goes to show you can have fun in the snow, how beautiful everything looked under the blue sky, great effort for getting through those drifts. With the correct clothing, good treads on those tires and a couple of mates, you just cant beat it. Ill be checking out my ore of your videos soon. Keep up the Cadence 👍
No I don't use Strava but nearly all the routes are available on a free Ap called Outdoor Active, its got great mapping and is excellent for plotting routes, Just select a map area then use Filters by route type for all types of cycling including MTB and find loads of routes,

All the routes we do are available on a free Ap called OutdoorActive, ( its better for plotting new routes than Strava ) the maps are great and very accurate.

We started at Marple so this is just the section before the descent to Hayfield I will try and attach the gpx

Must be something in UA-cam security. You can find all my routes (100 +) including this one from Marple in the free ap Outdooractive which I use for mapping it runs on all devices iPhone PC etc. Good luck

Great video. That run from Linnet Clough down to Roman Lakes is one of my favourite local downhill sections. Impossible to get to the bottom without getting a soaked arse, whatever the weather! 😂
