      I just tried turning the brightness up to 100% and the lines are still there. For the FX6, if I turn the shutter angle to 150 instead of 180 it goes. For the a7s3 if I go to 1/40 it goes, OR I can shoot in DCI 4K at 24p and it goes at 1/48.

But before you make your choice, could you please make the tests again but this time unplugging the power supply and using the usb cable with power bank that outputs 5V & 2A, to power the Lametric? @@YourStoryStudios the rolling shutter in the Sony is definitely faster, but as long as you don't film sports or fast action, I don't think you'd have any issues with the S5IIX. The only time I prefer to use the ZV-E1 is in very low light, because of the second base ISO of 12800 vs 4000 in the S5IIX. But in a studio environment, I would pick the S5IIX every time

      @@YourStoryStudios I was originally considering waiting for the A7s IV or get the Canon R8. The guy at Digidirect recommend I consider the Lumix. Did some research and it turned out to be great value as well as having features I wanted that the others didn't have or had them at much higher priced cameras. My concern was the AF which had improved after the FW update and glass. While they don't have a lot of it, I just need the ones that I would need for youtube. Just picked up a Sigma Art 24mm DG HSM f1.4 for under $800 aud also at Digidirect. Really happy. Came from Nikon D500 and Canon 200D.

    Have you considered the A7C2 with its full frame A74 sensor that only crops at 60 fps which I presume you won’t use in the studio. It’s surprisingly not prone to overheating and is also good for live-streaming

    So many great cameras out there! Now LUMIX have their autofocus game together I’m considering adding the GH7 to the arsenal for b cam and gimbal work duties. To be honest I wish they just held off on the GH6 a little while and put PDAF in that camera! The G9II had it not long after. Oh well.

    Great video as always. In S-Cinetone my FX6 out of camera is always more magenta tinted compared to my A7S3. Appreciate you can use CineMatch but did you tweak any colour settings in the FX6 to get them to broadly match?

    • @YourStoryStudios
      @YourStoryStudios 29 днів тому

      I’ve only really used the FX6 and a7S3 in Slog3. Then I’d match them with CineMatch. I don’t recall doing much more tweaking, but I’ll be recording a podcast this week with my 3 Sony cameras. I could possibly make a video talking about what I find!

      @@YourStoryStudios that would be really helpful as you should not expect such a difference when they're supposed to have the same sensor and while 10bit allows me to match things quite well in Premiere Pro Lumetri Colour it would ne good to know if there is an obvious tweak you can make

    A7RV, that is the camera I need. I have heard this in my mind a lot of times. There a lot of APSC vert affordable lenses, it's worth considering something like the FX30 or a6700. You can probably get 2 of these plus APSC lenses and still save money. 4k 60 all modes and 26Megapixel sensor, also custom luts and same Slog advanced mode of the FX6 in the FX30.
