If you never checked that PH means Programme High, biases the programme towards a higher shutter speed. You said that you needed more speed - Auto Feed of the film. Why didn't you get an F4E which runs at 6 frames a second, the F4S only does 5 frames per second. The F4 that you want with the batteries under your right hand grip is SLOWER that both the others and only takes 4 AA batteries. I bought 2 of F4E's when everyone went digital. I spent my money on an Epson V 750 PRO scanner, top of the range at the time. I have all the negatives and slides, pretty much that I have taken since I was 8, that's 65 years ago. Digital photographers have no such record and indeed delete most of the shots they do take. It used to be quite a thrill to get your film back from the chemist and see that you had exposed 36 frames correctly.

Love it thanks for the review. I couldn't afford the switch to Nikon from my Minolta kit back in the day so opted to upgrade to the Minolta 9 which I still own use and adore. As time went on I moved to digital starting with the Nikon D1h loved it to death, drown it, replaced still using and loving the D3s and tonight just won a local auction for an f4 with grip good working condition. Cant wait to shoot it thanks for the inspiration. Liked and subbed ya mate have a great 2022.
