    Neat puzzle, always love to see taking something and adding more layers with the same concept, just so cool

    really cool puzzle! if you weren't aware, the first puzzle is mass produced under the name "BaMianTi II" from LimCube. I wonder how your mechanisms compare

    cool puzzles! how hard would it be to make these on my own?

    • @multicubing8633
      @multicubing8633 Місяць тому

      It depends, if you mean these exact ones the regular Dino one is quite easy to design, so I'd start there. If you want to get a rough idea of how the process works there are 3x3 and 2x2 design tutorials on my channel, and there are other more advanced ones by others. Tutorials on how to design shells are helpful for some more advanced designs.

    • @aloading444
      @aloading444 Місяць тому

      @ are they completely 3D printed or are they shells? Also, are there designs for these anywhere online or would I need to make my own designs?

      @@aloading444 they’re completely 3D printed, and nah I haven’t uploaded them anywhere, not sure I’d want to do that

      @multicubing8633 Місяць тому

      My hands aren't unusually small and I like it but I can definitely see it being a pain for much larger ones. However I found making it small to be a cool challenge for these, it was intended :D

    I'd really love to see this remade in a way that the mechanism accommodates the jumbling without fudging

    Great job! These turn way better than I would expect a 3D-printed puzzle to. Btw- off-topic but how did you checkerboard the MFTO?

    • @multicubing8633
      @multicubing8633 Місяць тому

      To do the checkerboard, I did the regular FTO checkerboard using the outer layers, and then did the same thing with slice-only turns with the slice that isolates the innermost centre pieces

    Really cool! Having no internal pieces is a nice feature. Looks like it has more exposed parts than a Mosaic Cube, too.

    • @multicubing8633
      @multicubing8633 Місяць тому

      That's correct! The piece created by the intersection of the shallow cuts is absent on the Mosaic Cube, because the equivalent cuts on that puzzle don't directly interact I'm fairly confident a puzzle with this set of pieces has not been done (and shown publicly) before

    A note. If you are using Solidworks, maybe it's a better idea to do tolerances before filetting. Solidworks does not handle very well a move face function on a filetted face

    • @multicubing8633
      @multicubing8633 6 років тому

      Correct. It is better to tolerance first, I just often like to fillet first anyway so I can see what the final piece would look like sooner lol.

    Very well-planned and structured beginners tutorial. It was interesting to see somebody design in Inventor instead of a free software. Also, I'm taking back my previous criticism of you not wanting to script your videos. This turned out perfectly fine. Very straight-forward and informative. I'm looking forward to seeing your first build video/ custom puzzle presentation!
