First, I thought the purpose of this video is to show that you need to get the basics right, but then you said that "this is basically how I mark an Internal Assessment. I hope you don't mark real assignments of your students like that! You have to read the paper in detail to understand what it is about and how it can be improved. The report may be bad, but what is sure, is that a teacher that marks like that shouldn't be a teacher! If you really wanted to help students, you would read the essay properly and try to help them rather than grading it in 10 minutes.

It seems it is just graded the form ( how long is and the exact number of parts of the assignment), and not the essence. The "teacher", 1. did not read the content; that is why he does not understand when the student stated "INCONCLUSIVE", the student is right is inconclusive, because of the number of plants (plants, just 12), also the control group was contaminated. Also, the graph, if read correctly, describes the evolution in time of the 2 groups and gives similar results ( because the control was contaminated) student was right. 2. yes, the teacher seems not to know what is trial in this context. If this is the way, IB is graded, best grades are for replicating the formalities of assignments, REASONING and KNOWLEDGE is not graded, since the exams are not read. But, it is necessary a large sample size, from a population sample, representative of the population structure, and YES more trials. based just on this observation, the results are not conclusive. !!!! Hence, the best countries have their own educational system and do not rely on systems foreign to their needs.

as long as the event has happened more than 10 years ago it should be fine, therefore you should be okay but check in with your supervisor regardless.

Hey there, thanks for making this video. I am looking to do my EE on cyber security, preferably hashing algorithms like bcrypt. And perhaps I want to investigate if hashing algorithms are keeping up with the increase of speed of computer processing. Would that be a good idea?

Hi I am really struggling to understand one thing about EE in english. For my English EE I chose to do a category 1 EE. I chose selected works of two authors to work with. But I am not comparing these two poets in my essay, just writing about their selected work's individual connection to my topic. Is this allowed for category 1?
Is this English A (Group 1) or English B (Group 2)?

@@athmihasaravanen2320 Category 1 in a Group 1 states: "Studies of one or more literary works originally written in the language in which the essay is presented." This means that you have to study and write about the works (and not the poets/authors). The works that you choose can not be translated works. So you might find some theme/topic that allows you to (for example) compare the two works. But please be aware that your supervisor is in charge of this, and I also recommend to read the IB EE guidelines, which are really helpful.

yeah I agree, i would keep 2. i get that its not worth writing 2 pages on but its not like its irrelevant tbh. that could have been part of the intro as a reasoning to why they are investigating this and what is their general thesis.
Hey Mark Would the next research question be okay for the Extended essay of Computer Science or is it too general "To What extent have the advancements of computer programming languages helped on the developement of videogames?"
I would recommend looking at the CS examples on IB’s site. If your question doesn’t look like the questions you see on there, I wouldn’t recommend it.
It'd be appropriate if you specified which programming languages and what type of games you're talking about, online games, phone games, heavily graphical games etc. Also you should specify if want to address the development of the game from its back end or front end (UI/playing dynamics etc) or just the entire thing. Also check the IB´s website for examples on other CS EEs research questions.
