So pretty much he drank heavily for 10 years & was a functioning alcoholic. Then had alcohol withdraws. Jesse said he wasn't an alcoholic but yet would "smash a bottle of whiskey" or "drink 10 beers" and then would have anxiety from the hangover and blacking out. I'm glad he quit drinking because he probably would have ended up dead if he kept it up.

Have no idea how much I relate to this. I’ve been mostly sober for about 6 years, same as Jesse, not because I plan to be completely sober, it’s just who I am now. I was also the people pleaser so damn this is so relatable.

Alcohol ruined a lot of great opportunities for me. Embarrassing to have been a functioning alcoholic. I’m 40. Drank heavily from 17-24yrs old and then found Jesus and stopped for a few years and then started drinking heavily again from 29-38yrs old. I went cold turkey after I got caught cheating on my girl with her family member when dropping her off. She pulled me in to kiss, I kissed her then pulled away cuz I knew it was wrong too late, and when I turned around, her husband was staring at us at the door way. Ruined a strong relationship of 5yrs at the time. Now I’m living with my parents in the basement. Struggling. Fuck.

If this dude is claiming to be a winning POKER player -- at cash and/or tournaments -- that's fine; that's a game where someone can become skilled enough to profit long term. If he's claiming to be a winning TABLE GAME player -- roulette, baccarat, craps, etc. -- then that's just mathematically impossible. The house has an edge in every single table game that will inevitably catch up to anyone based on the law of large numbers. The only exception is he was counting cards at Black Jack. So what is it?
