    It's a good start but that's "marks custom kits" shark nose which is like 4 ft long and not accurate. Good luck on your build. Kitt didn't have groundeffects especially those groundeffects!

      I know….I’m building mine with subtle differences. I like the ground effects and my wife got me the front nose so that’s why I’m using it.

    I crank the starter about 3 seconds before switching the pump on, that way the oil starts flowing, and no dry starts. All my older mechanic friends say motors last a few extra years if you do that

    You look fantastic. I feel you with the order of putting parts on. Having constructed several Mandalorian kits by now, I know how crucial this is. But you did great, and gave a good insight into a basic, but good-looking Vader costume.

    Nice cosplay, I kind of want a cool Vader Costume, but they're kind of hard to find every part you need for it to be perfect, and some are pretty expensive, but I might get one in the future, we'll see. Anyways good costume.

    Thanks for posting this! Will the electric fuel pump stop pumping onece reached the desired pressure, say 5-7lbs or it will conitnue to pump but carb prevents the fuel go in and build up some pressure in the gas line that feeds to the carb?

    I'm doing the same thing on my Jayco that you did here. Stuck, though; how did you pinch the 1/8-inch cable double-loop inside the slugs? Looks to me like the regular 1/8-inch ferrules are to big.

    • @landrysworkshop
      @landrysworkshop 2 роки тому

      I used a dremel to cut the cable to lenth. I then looped the cable into the ferrule and it worked out.

    • @landrysworkshop

      I spliced into the power coming from the ignition key… so that way the pump wouldn’t keep running with the key off. I then hooked up the negative to my common ground at the transom.

    I have Jakes season 2/3 nose. It’s an excellent piece. Wasn’t much I had to really do to get it ready to paint. I’d like to watch your progress on this because I’m looking to get this same dash from him. Also would like to know which electronics you decide to get.

    • @landrysworkshop
      @landrysworkshop 3 роки тому

      I’ll be getting my electronics from Scott Bensons…. Knight Industries of Kentucky. I’m currently working on the body and plan on painting him in the summer. The following year I plan on installing the tan interior as i removed the grey. I’ll be getting my electronics piece by piece…. So it will take a few years to finish, but I’ll be posting videos on my channel of the progress. There will be other various projects on there too as i plan to replace an attic ladder soon.

    Before you paint your dash make sure you sand it down 400 grit wet or dry sandpaper. This will ensure its super flat and that the paint will stick good to the primer. Thanks for this review. Cant wait to see more videos on your project kitt.
